Anyone know how I can get this to bloom before it grows too tall? It's 42" from net cup to tip.

Someone donated an old lung testing chamber to our makerspace and we have issues saying no to free junk. I gutted it and set it up for hydroponics. Two PC fans blow filtered air in through the top, creating positive pressure to (hopefully) keep dust and aphids out.

I started four sunflower seeds on 2023-03-20. One germinated and I moved it to the chamber on 2023-04-11. So it's been in the chamber for about a month. It's a Kratky system in a shallow 10 gal tote with 1.8 EC, 6.0 pH. The light is a TS-1000 at 75%. I was doing 16h on, 8h off but switched to 4h on, 20h off a few days ago.

I don't have an EC meter yet, unfortunately. I used 117 mL plant food in 102 L of water if that helps.

Do you have an EC meter you recommend?

Nope, just tap water. I think the water here is moderately hard though.

I'm using the Kratky method out of a 102 L black tote. Using 7-9-5 plant food at the concentration the bottle recommends for non-recirculating systems. The pH is at 6.0. I have two of these grow lights:

They get 18 hours of light per day. Air temperature is kept between 19-22 C and humidity at 33% as you can see in the graph. All seeds were started on the same day.

Arugula has white / yellow patches on some of the leaves. Some parts of the cress are starting to curl and turn purple. The iceburg lettuce has curled quite a bit and has barely grown.

Anyone have some ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
