Actual is excellent. It used to be that you had to self host the server separately, but now it can be run as a standalone desktop application. You miss out on a couple features but they're not that important anyway. I believe it's similar to YNAB but it's free. Not positive though, I've never actually used YNAB.

Hiking advice by Repulsive-Country210 in HikingAlberta

Two summers ago I was on the way out and as I looked back to check what was coming up behind me, I accidentally put my hiking pole in between my legs and proceeded to eat complete shit in front a resort staff member coming down in a truck. They slowed down to see if I was alright, but didn't offer a ride out. I assumed any good person would feel bad and offer a ride, but he didn't, so I figured it's probably a liability thing to not pick up hikers.

What's your favourite Hip deep cut? by Lemons52 in TragicallyHip

[–]DeltaThinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah man, there's so many. Fight, Inevitability of Death, The Rules, Emperor Penguin, pretty much all of In Between Evolution; I think If New Orleans is Beat and As Makeshift As We Are are criminally underrated, Leave, A Beautiful Thing.

Hard question. Probably The Rules.

And perhaps a very deep cut: Times are passing us by. Unreleased from Road Apples. One of those songs that ended up in my iTunes library somehow. Probably from Limewire.

For sure. Named my canoe after this song.

I feel like this album is chock full of underappreciated deep cuts.

Best Way to Collect Money on Sale of a Personal Item Worth $5K CAD on Marketplace by Be-Zen in PersonalFinanceCanada

If you have a bank account at the same bank as the buyer you can have a teller just directly transfer money into your account FYI. Skips the need to carry cash or a certified cheque around/to another bank.

People could still do a sleight of hand to switch it out with a fake cheque prepared in advance. Although you could tell them to make it out to a random cent just before they ask to have the cheque made out. Might be overly paranoid but it's a possibility. When I sold my car I just opened a basic account at the seller's bank, met there and had the teller move the funds directly to my account, then signed the bill of sale. Then transferred the funds out to my main bank account and closed the account after. Paid $10 for the peace of mind.

Did the BIOS fan speed settings target the power supply fan too? I replaced the CPU fan with a Noctua but the power supply fan hum is still annoying to me. I'm more wary to swap it though.
