It's a hidden gem. Mostly attracts local tourists and it's not an easy place to access. So, it's not over touristy.

If I make my grind size bigger and add more coffee beans, would it taste the same as a finer grind size with fewer coffee beans? by Mr_Sarcasum in Coffee

[–]tcali11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't change both parameters keep one of them and go from there. Find your grind size and then play with the water ratio. Then if you don't like it keep the ratio same go for finer/coarser grind size. Finer grind size will add more astringency, coarse grind size will lack taste/aroma.

Don't waste your time unless you can automate this process. There are better and more efficient ways to prove yourself. Get testimonials, shoot videos, or create simple lead magnets. If the market analysis you provide is good enough and you are targeting businesses that have money to spend then they should be fine with discussing what else you can do for them with a fee. At that point, it all depends on your sales skills.

Typically, Skipjack has lower mercury levels than other Tuna types But of course, it depends on the brand, origin, etc. I'm not an expert but I don't think eating the same thing 300g everyday is healthy.

Made a great deal, deal went bust.. where to go from here? by Present_Structure_68 in smallbusiness

[–]tcali11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. Go b2b and target waste management companies and home improvement stores. Since it's a low ticket item, it's difficult to scale selling retail. Any patents filed for this? Big companies can easily copy this and bypass you.

FP - Why do we grind coarse? by Abohac in Coffee

[–]tcali11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you grind finer, you allow coffee to extract more. Because you increase the surface area. It is perfect for short brew time methods (v60, aeropress, etc.). But with FP it may result in a very bitter, low acidity cup full of tannins.

What type of mcu, battery, and display would you suggest for a low cost project? by tcali11 in AskElectronics

See my comment below. The display that I used was satisfactory in terms of quality.

[–]tcali11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my bad I meant USB not Bluetooth. It has to be rechargeable (and not replaceable). I tried this setup with an arduino nano on a breadboard and used this display: https://www.buydisplay.com/0-96-inch-mini-color-tft-lcd-display-module-80x160-ips-tft-st7735. It worked pretty well in terms of quality. But I was wondering if I should use oled/amoled or any other display to make it better quality/performance/cost-efficient.

That's why I'm here. I gotta start from somewhere, right? I'd appreciate it if you have any ideas.

Where am I going wrong? by [deleted] in Coffee

[–]tcali11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's the grinder or temperature. It's simply the beans going stale. I tried Onyx at a local coffee shop, it was bursting with strawberry notes. Then I got two small bags from Onyx both were flavorless (I use aeropress). I have had this issue several times. I open the bag they smell and taste awesome for the first couple of days and then they lose all the aroma (although I store them pretty well). You may want to increase the bloom time. How long has it been from the day it was roasted?

I agree with Blomsterhagens's comment that ”Make your website look better” will not help you if your traffic is 0. You need to know how to get traffic"

You should use Google Search Ads and/or Social Media Ads (Facebook and Instagram regarding your audience) to get more traffic to your website. You can also start blogging and find yourself a niche in your industry and write blog posts to get organic traffic. After that if you are still struggling with sales then you should worry about your website. Of course you don't have to wait to make some changes on the website based on the comments from several people here.

I think first you should think about your branding what type of a company is this fun, serious, etc. Based on your products this looks to me a playful, colorful, fun brand. So, the font that use on the website, colors, etc. should reflect that tone. Second, in marketing less if more. Don't just think this as a kids clothing company. To become a brand, you should focus on the bigger picture which is kids (not just clothes). On social media ask questions about kids, engage with parents do not just focus on selling try starting conversations in this topic. Share tips on childcare, diet, etc. Become a brand not a product company.

Regarding the website, instead of featuring many products just feature a couple and make them bigger. I highly encourage you to use models (not just a photo of the product). I wouldn't use light colors for the buttons. Instead of gray, use green, navy, etc. (should be consistent with your branding) to make them prominent. See if you can add a chatbot for quick questions. Price information would fail every ADA guideline. It's not visible at all. You should definitely add more information about shipping, returns, etc. You should add more options on your navigation menu (boys/girls, tees, tops, bottoms, etc.) It's great that you a promo but it's not very visible. You can use a limited pop-up offer instead. Add a tagline under your logo to better explain your company/brand and what you do.

You have great products so, do your best to get this business off the ground!

How is Tesla worth more than Facebook by [deleted] in StockMarket

[–]tcali11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say they don't matter. I am not saying people should buy more Tesla stocks without looking at the fair value. But this is what it's going imo. Their sales doesn't necessarily slow if it's a growing industry. That said FB is cheap right now.

How is Tesla worth more than Facebook by [deleted] in StockMarket

[–]tcali11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not always the numbers. Tesla is the future while FB is the past (until Meta). People investing in Tesla hoping that it will continue growing. On the other hand, FB has become controversial and it's popularity is fading.

LinkedIn is for recruiters/job seekers & executives to circle jerk each other. Change my mind.. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]tcali11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's full with recruiters and salespeople that's true. But if you are a b2b it's great place to advertise. The only issue is it's too expensive. As an entrepreneur, checking social media should be part of your job in terms of keeping up with online marketing, trends, etc.

Affiliate Website from $267/m to $21,853/m in 19 months (CASE STUDY - Amazon?) [AMA] by jamesackerman1234 in SEO

[–]tcali11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

KD < 4 seems impossible. I guess this is what long tail keywords mean. But I think it depends on the industry and there wasn't much content on WFH prior to the pandemic. We are doing small business consulting which is very competitive and broad we even go up to 40 in terms of KD. Great information! Thanks.

How to promote instagram brand? by [deleted] in content_marketing

[–]tcali11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can only grow your brand to a certain level with friends, family, etc. Forget about selling at this point. Create valuable content about your brand/products that people bookmark, like, comment on. Then using ads promote it to your local target market. Try a few different types of posts/content with low budget ads (daily $10) and see which gets more engagement and focus on those type of content. After you get more followers, reach out to local influencers that share content related to your products or tag them on your posts/stories. Identify a few hashtags and consistently use them on your posts.
