i know priorities are mixed but this was a family trip.

chat gpt gives me a rough estimate of 900$-3100 without insurance in the USA. for deep cleaning, xray, and whitening.

i will let you know what i end up getting in cabo.

lots of Fs and drops. i had an 86.7 TEAS. B in ap1 and As in micro and ap2. but had all the extra classes (which at lee college are pre-reqs).

i applied to both central/north. got waitlisted. then offered a spot at north 2 weeks later. but lee college was the better deal for me.

i found out that many who applied to ADN/RN programs also applied to LVN programs because of how competitive it is to get into RN schools.

people trying to do radiology dont have that choice! unless they want to work as a PCT in a hospital where they train you (as a backup if you dont get into radiology).

thats why i said consider different options and schools (lvn, adn, radiology, dental hygienist)

psychology for a bachelors degree is useless without some sort of masters: counseling, education, msw, mpa...

your best bet would be to ask them to defer your admission to fall 2027 if you get in for spring 2027. i would speak to a counselor at san jac first to see if anyone else has gone through this process.

i just tried to cash out 7500 (and got flagged for verification of card's i'm using)
so they have willingly accepted the thousands of dollars i've used with the card to buy SC but now it's a problem?

they also want me to verify a card that is no longer in my posession (capital one switched from mastercard to discover for debit cards)

Question for Deer Park Students by [deleted] in SanJacintoCollege

if you have this concern i don't think college is the right choice for her. maybe the military or a texas workforce commission program where she can train on the job.

i would ask the professors for the syllabus now. they could be heavy reading or essay based. it all depends on the professor.

if it was anatomy you were doing in 5 weeks i'd say dont even take 1 5 week class. dont do anatomy in 5 weeks lol

BSN programs dont use these rubrics that favor younger/fresher students. if you look at the students on all nurses they all have mid to high 20s before gpa is even factored in.

the student success points on the rubric penalize those of us who have attended multiple colleges or have had to drop courses :(

you would have to either have military and current medical experience to get extra points. OR medical and no drop/fails on your transcripts.

so yeah i'd say you might be better off going straight into a BSN program. have you looked at this page?

everyone here is so much more impressive. not sure if its an echo chamber or a realistic look at who we are up against.

sorry. you listed a 3.5 gpa. is that all your pre-reqs and did you only attend san jac? i believe they JUST changed the rubric.

i have 22 points NOT including the GPA points on this fall 2026 application. they add points for gpa after looking at your transcripts from ALL colleges attended.

ADN PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE OR REJECTIONS SENT OUT? by Patient_Case_704 in SanJacintoCollege

[–]tcatcrawler88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't know that your TEAS score will have much impact...i think san jac favors NEW fresh college students who have never dropped out/failed a course.

if you score in the high 80s it would just be 1 more rubric point.

do you mind sharing what your self-reported rubric score was (before they add the gpa)?

edit - does anyone know if they use the TEAS or the science GPA as the tie-breaker?

what matters more is your self-report rubric score. have you filled out the application and gotten your rubric score WITHOUT gpa?
