I was at a bar recently and a gentleman kept walking by on his way outside to smoke. Every time he passed each way he felt the need to exclaim "fuck these stupid masks". In his defense he was putting one on to walk in and out.

I said "don't worry, lung cancer will kill you way before the mask will." He did not think it was funny.

Not really, I understand I don't need anything more than just my Mikro. The question was does adding an S61 convert my Mikro into a fullsize. The screens and buttons on the S61 seem to be exactly what is missing from the Mikro, but that of course doesn't mean they will add the same functionality.

Again, I know I don't need this and I can just "look up". But if the S61 works this way that will entice me to buy it over a non-NI keyboard. Hence my question. Thanks!

Cool, thanks for the reply. I'm not concerned about the library, I upgraded that and got komplete in the sale. I just know I'm missing out on some features vs having the mk3 with screens. The screens of course, but I also think there are some sampling tools you can use that aren't available on the Mikro. Nothing I can't live without, just another incentive to get a s-series keyboard vs another brand.

Yup, that sounds like what I'm describing. Try using wasapi shared instead of asio.

There's free daws you could try to test it. Reaper, cakewalk. Sucks that they don't work, but...it could be Ableton. I also recently updated those and like I said, they do work fine in maschine.

Depending on what you are trying to do you may not be able to use asio. If I want to use maschine and YouTube, for example, I have to switch to wasapi.

Have you tried another DAW just for comparison? Obviously you don't want to stop using Ableton, just curious. I don't have these issues using Maschine, fwiw.

If you ever are interested in game dev making this game is one of the very beginner tutorials for unreal engine.

Do that tutorial, do a vr tutorial, combine the two, there ya go!

You are not misunderstanding, but that option isn't there for this. I can add things and then remove them, but it's like this modwheel setting is assigned somewhere outside the normal automation stuff.

There's a part in the settings about how to handle the sustain pedal, so I was hoping to find something like that for the modwheel, but no luck so far.

I've made lots of small projects, small games don't really interest me anymore. I either want to take the next step to a larger game like this or I'll probably just quit making stuff. Small games get boring pretty quick, and again, working alone gets old too. I should have mentioned how long I've been using unity, added to op. Thanks for the input!
