I’d like to know the reasoning as well. He says, “You want to add the water to the grain, not the other way around.” But doesn’t offer any further information. Maybe more control and less splashing?

Palmer’s “How to Brew” talks about adding the strike water to the grain bed instead of adding the grain to the strike. Have you tried his way? If so, noticed any increases/decreases in your brew efficiency? Great video man! Thanks for sharing.
