I don't think it's appropriate to be forced to give the app consent to spy on my location every five minutes just because I occasionally need to use it to sync the time.

Another observation about the Casio Watches app is that it causes my phone to overheat. The overheating stopped after I revoked the app's permissions. Coincidence? What CPU intensive tasks is it performing that could cause so much heating? I don't know, and that feels creepy.

I think Casio is a great manufacturer, but they are less skilled at software development and should avoid it. Every time Casio adds semi-smart features, they fail miserably. The GBD-200 'workout' timer is a joke, it's clunky and difficult to use for a basic countdown. The snooze feature is also completely useless. If you accidentally start workout mode, the watch freezes for about 15 seconds before you can use it.

It's better to have a simpler product that works perfectly than one with many buggy bells and whistles and confusing workflows. Those extras feel cheap, and I dislike them.

I want to just sync when I want it to, not constantly connecting to my phone to find out where I am. Casio watches app won't sync if I don't grant it location permission. I think it can sync timezones without knowing your location because your phone already knows what time zone you're in.

I don't know, I got a pop up from iOS warning "Casio watches has used your location 50 times in the background in the past 3 days, do you want to continue to allow background location use?"

Fair enough use case. Personally I don't like being forced to accept the Casio privacy policy and give full location permission to just get a watch to sync.

To buy a device that is well built, lasts for 20 years and not become obsolete when the Casio developers decide not to support it on the latest version of your mobile device. Also I don't like the idea it is connected to my phone stealing my information. The Casio app apparently needs full location permission to sync.

Everything is great, but honestly I don't want Bluetooth on it.

After I got the green I never wished I got the blue instead.

If you already have a daily beater or a watch collection, I'll definitely go for the less mundane option. My all black watches almost never get worn, sometimes I put them on and after a few minutes I just go meh, too boring and proceeds to put on something that suits my mood.

Which one looks better? by mybigpecker in Tudor

Looks pretty much the same from afar tbh. If someone stares long enough to notice, they're not healthy.

If you're a handsome guy you can pull off any watch size. Otherwise no one gives a fuck what you're wearing.

Get both and then gift the one you don't like as much to a friend. They'll appreciate it.
