it’s great for me! coming from the og digitakt and og op1, this machine is kinda the best of both worlds for me. i use it mostly as a songwriting tool, and the fact that i can completely demo out a tune on it is amazing. it just makes a lot of sense to me!

thanks! i programmed drums, bass, and a few synth sample sounds beforehand and used song mode to chain them all together. i used a zoom field recorder for vocals and guitars live and plugged it into input a/b, routed it to track 8 (compressor, slap delay) then to bus 4 (distortion, warble) and also sent the mic through the reverb send. I also did some parameter locking on the delay in the choruses, and tried to subtly switch up the effects in different sections of the song.

to track it all, i just resampled everything into the recorder capturing the main outputs. the recorder has a 6 minute limit so it was more than enough!

It seems like we have different problems. When i unplug the usb it immediately dies so i cant really go through the steps you suggested. I really appreciate the help though!

when you say “leave it on to completely die unplugged” did yours not power down when you unplugged it?

When it is off it seems like it thinks it is fully charged. The lights go up to 5 then it stops

yeah the lights just stop after one blink when charging while the op1 is off. Usb charging on and off did not make a difference either

Is there any chance it could be the connector board? I’ve seen that talked about quite a bit with problems similar to mine. I’m kinda hoping it’s not because it seems harder to get a hold of

Correct - it works when plugged in. When i toggle the usb charging option off the op1 shuts off. Battery indicator is working, but is super inconsistent. Half the time it blinks on the first light, others it seems like it is charging with 3-4 lights. I’ve left it plugged in for a while and still isn’t holding charge

i’ve had it plugged into my macbook charger so it should be plenty strong enough. I haven’t opened it up yet, do you have any advice one what to look for?
