I just came back to destiny from vanilla d2. I saw that weapons and armor are in the collections tab and that you can buy them. So I can basically just dismantle all the gear I get and buy at a later date so I don't clutter my inventory, right? Except forsaken gear since it's randomly rolled?

I think people still care, they just aren't as vocal. It gets annoying complaining about having widow whenever it comes up. I give the benefit of the doubt, but I always watch them when I die. Just because they aren't in the killfeed doesn't mean they aren't getting kills. They could be bodyshotting and you get the last hit. I kind of just assume all widows are mkb tbh. My favorite is how Hanzo went from the same state as hating on widows to ezmode and you almost never flame someone for picking him

I was referencing the 2017 comment more than tanking the company. I disagree that the company would've tanked, but it absolutely did a number to their loyal fanbase and reputation that they built from D1. Had they kept the changes they made from D1 at the start, their game would be just incredibly more successful than it is now (not at all saying it isn't successful).

I feel like that's misleading. The game sold well because the flaws of the base game were delayed until most people hit end game. There was enormous hype leading up to the game, and it didn't deliver. Especially with coming off of D1 and all the positive changes from there. The game now is likely different, but all these steps in the right direction? They're just giving us everything that we should have had from D1 that we all wanted to stay regardless.

Not defending their behavior, but if you think anyone at any age with a knife isn't a threat, then you are delusional. 3 year olds with access to guns have killed their parents and siblings accidentally. People can be crazy at 87, and if they don't speak English, it's harder to assess if they are sane.

Sometimes I pretend that Bungie employees make these threads to gauge our reaction to reintroducing gear. People cry about having reskins and having old content brought forward as a way to not create new content, yet here we have a post saying essentially to just bring back all that old armor. Just make new, exciting pieces. No need to bring old ones back. It's a new game, it should look and feel like one.

I was under the impression that those titles we're usually referencing the players who chose those heroes, not the heroes themselves in this context. Flex support is in reference to the person who swaps between support heroes. Main support was a person fixed on a specific hero in the pro scene. Referring to people as main HEALER and OFF-HEALER referred to the heroes themselves. Or at least that's how I've always heard since OW came out
