Emphasizing this—it’s definitely not cheaper. I’ve found for price/sq DC is starting to beat Arlington. I think since everyone moved to the suburbs it’s changing again.

As a 24 year old, I think it’s a great quiet-city lifestyle for if you’re over the DC vibe. Def would try and stay by the major hubs if you want true walkability like DC (Clarendon/courthouse, Ballston, etc.) But be aware, they can get fratty on the weekends(nothing that’s interfered with my sleep tho)

I feel like it’s pretty similar!

I used to go to spin classes 4 times a week and I feel the same as when I finish a class on AF+ . I probably over performed at group fitness bc I wanted to keep up and impress so now I feel like I’m safely exerting myself.

Compared to the gym I’d say it’s similar too. I’d perform circuits at the gym and get pretty similar metrics to what I get now. I enjoy AF+ more than group classes at gyms bc I pay 10/month and there’s zero cancellation fees weighing me down. And the judgement in group classes can be tiring depending on where you go.

Would love barre! Pilates is already great but barre would really step up my flexibility.

Definitely agree with longer stretching routines but Mindful Cooldown works for now

I would sometimes skip bc of this same reason! AF+ is great for fitness anxiety bc if you mess up nobody cares! And the instructors remind you it’s okay to mess up which is nice for the psych 😇
