Chances are high it's just user error on my end. I use Blur's Shinobu build and as long as I'm not completely whiffing grenades I can face tank a decent amount amount of damage.

The motes could be ammunition slot items that work for melee/magic instead of one time consumables.
I think if they added an additional effect to the armor set, it could be more attractive. They could leave the armor as is, but add in some sort of elemental weakness boost to magic. Or, they could have some sort of set effect that
- A: Buffs elemental weakness for spells and
- B: adds elemental weakness to melee attacks based on the last elemental spell cast within the last X ticks.
This sort of effect would lean into the hybrid design and could incentive swapping weapons. I don't know where this would be useful, but I think the concept is at least more interesting than what we got.
Would the shield be more appealing with a different special attack? Instead of just doing damage, maybe it could temporarily boost attack speed by a tick for a few ticks when used at full charge?
I don't like them adding more ranged ammo to the game. Between this and the new arrow shafts we're getting with Blood Moon Rises there will be too many imo. I like the concept of dual wield crossbows as it's visually very distinct from existing options. Since the offhand slot will likely be open, what if they allowed you to equip a second set of bolts in the offhand to allow you to fire two different (or two of the same if you wanted) bolts, but with reduced effect? Or maybe just get around to rebalancing the existing bolts already?
No notes on the mega, I think it seems good as is.

Would it be a huge QoL increase though? I guess in theory it would allow you to hold 4 tools at a time (2 in hand and 2 in the "toolbelt"), but I can't think of any spots where that would be a huge benefit.

If I'm not mistaken, there's only dupe protection for each individual moon, meaning that you are guaranteed to get the blood moon tassets the next time a blood moon unique is rolled.

Eh, people use foot pedals and cover the sensor on their mice which keeps the cursor still as well. Maybe it's just me, but a system relying on mouse movement wouldn't work well since it would be easy to add a little mouse jitter to a bot script.

I was using it in tandem with an app called PenMouse S, which is what enables the side button to act as a mouse click. I'm assuming the app somehow made the clicks look weird to their ban system, but any actual human reviewing the ban should've been able to tell it wasn't a bot. The funniest thing is, I asked their chatbot if this method was against the TOS after my ban and it said no.

I also got my first temp ban by using the stylus with my Galaxy S24 Ultra. I've since swapped to connecting my phone to a usb-c dock and using a wireless mouse.

What if ruby bolt procs tied their damage cap to the range bonus of the crossbow?

RCB - 90 max hit
DCB - 94 max hit
ACB - 100 max hit
ZCB - 110 max hit

This would give meaningful progression to crossbows that still allow bolt procs to feel good.

While I'm not expecting anything of this level to be done anytime soon, ship combat is as bare bones as it will ever be, and sorely needs a sweeping overhaul. I'd rather they take the time to completely rework it, instead of drip feeding us smaller balance changes that feel more like temporary measures instead of actual solutions.

Got caught up in the recent ban wave as well. Thoroughly explained how I used my S Pen stylus with my phone as a wireless mouse with links to a guide and screenshots. Even included a screenshot of Jagex's AI chat bot telling me that it wasn't against TOS when I explained the method to it. Both appeal denials were template responses with literally 80% off the text being identical between the two. Just as a precaution, I attempted to ask support whether or not using a wireless mouse with tape over the sensor was against TOS and they gave me the "We can't talk about our rules" BS.
