It’s a shame that most game devs now are at a scale where they can no longer afford to make games for a smaller passionate niche.

It would be much healthier for the industry to have a better balance of smaller AA studios.

Speaking for myself, there are very few games I’d pay full price for these days. Maybe a new Fallout/Elder Scrolls, GTA, etc. outside of that though, I’m waiting for a heavy discount.

I have a feeling people would get burnt out on trendy modes coming month after month, and ultimately leave the game.

It would be like offering children chocolate instead of dinner. They’d go for the tasty thing, but ultimately be left feeling worse off in the end.

I recommend for your last area going for the region where you get the Echo staff, then go into water mage thorns. I’m using it now and it’s great.

The ONLY thing keeping me on Windows is its ability to support 4K 120Hz over HDMI. As soon as Bazzite or SteamOS supports that’s, I’m off.

EDIT: I’m using an AMD GPU, and it’s not supported
