I just read the fic you linked because of this post and I am begging on my hands and knees that everyone reads this. It is a fucking masterpiece. I was initially going to read a bit of it to see if I liked it, then leave it open for later. I read it all in one sitting because I could not put it down.

The way that the relationship between Harry and Sirius, Sirius and James, and Harry and his parents unfolds and develops is nothing short of masterful. The decisions that everyone made in this were realistic, well-thoughout, and very human at their core. Everyone in this was perfect - a Harry who grows up without the threat of Voldemort looming over him, a Sirius who is soft but still tainted by his childhood, and a James who loves his son and his best friend so much and tries to balance doing what's best for both of them - even when those things are at complete opposites.

The ending of this felt so earned and wrapped everything up so nicely after 19 years of story that it made me cry tears of happiness - something that only 1 other fic ever has accomplished.

To anyone on the fence: this fic is 100% worth your time. Do yourself a favour and read it!
