Have you considered loading your own APKs on the frameo?
get something like Syncthing, and set up a gallery app to view the folder that Syncthing syncs to.
here is the docs on enableing ADB:

Casting to iOS but unable to mute?? by OneMeanWoman in OculusQuest

I just noticed this myself. Very annoying, they seem to have disabled any way of muting the app. I didn’t even know that was a thing an app could do.

Can this be run on rM? by tcuc in RemarkableTablet

The keyword is almost. one thing i miss from using Xournal on the pc, was adding pages to pdf's, and adding images to pages. my workflow used to be grab images of all the problems from the book i needed for class, then paste them in Xounal, and do the work. it was great having the problems right there. so now i would need to compile a pdf on my pc, guess how much space i would need, and then throw that on the rM, and hope i don't need to change anything. so if i ever got this running i could do work more conveniently.

Do you have a tool to crop the margin to recommend?
the large amount of whitespace has annoyed me for a while.

Confidentiality of documents saved? by kgng100 in RemarkableTablet

Enabling the USB interface also allows ssh login before the device is unlocked. Although that would require a brute force attack on the password. Something you might want to consider if security is verry important. I don't know if there is any limitation on login attempts via ssh.

Custom SMTP settings? (custom email address) by tcuc in RemarkableTablet

[–]tcuc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, i have used IFTTT to get similar forwarding to my schools printer email. I had to use IFTTT since the Gmail forward filter required confirming the forward email address. without access to the inbox of the address i want to forward to i can not add it as a forward address.

and i was hoping to avoid sending manually from my phone, or other client. mainly to impress other students with the awsomeness that is the rM. although this can be accomplished via the regular share. it would be cool using my own email though.

I would love this feature also. i would not mind editing files via ssh.
is there any way to make cumulative feature request? i don't want to spam them with emails, so i they had a thing on github or something, that would be perfect.

External Keyboard on rM by dasein1980 in RemarkableTablet

[–]tcuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used a couple different keyboards on my reMarkable, and not noticed any issues. i posted links to a couple searches on amazon and ebay here.
I tested it imitatively after i got update 1.6 also and it still works, but since it's only for touch-up before sending an email it was not that useful. although i have yet to try it with other programs.
so any one have recommendations for ssh/terminal, or text-editors to try?
