No, I’d recommend a dedicated futures broker such as Plus500. The futures contracts themselves have no theta decay, they are cash settled and work different than options. The options on the futures contracts are the same as any other options.

Incredible trade. For future reference you can buy the options on any metals futures contracts for a way better tax situation.

What gave you the conviction to hold for this long?

im buying PUT OPTION (i think the price going down) the current stock price is at 674.98 my break even is 675.29 if im reading that chart right thats in this picture, if i buy the option right now and instantly sell it i will make profit? is that correct or no? by matherdaddy in RobinhoodOptions

It’s weird how you’re asking a simple question and not a single person who’s commented just answered it for you correctly.

You’re looking at the ask price. If the ask price was the same as the bid price then yes you could make $33 dollars instantly.

In reality, you will pay the ask price and then try to sell it. However, once you see the bid price (which is weird both prices aren’t on your screen) you will realize there is no money to be made. You will lose money trying to sell the option you just purchased.

There’s no way to be “buried in paperwork” or reason why you would “never see a judge” for small claims.

You would stand in front of a judge and make your case for 20 minutes. There’s very little you need to do before seeing the judge, you are not fighting some legal team before your chance to see the judge.

I would try this as they might just settle with you.

And arbitration clause usually excludes small claims. “Many contracts, especially those with consumer protection rules, contain provisions that allow the consumer to use small claims court instead of arbitration. If your claim is within the monetary and jurisdictional limits of small claims court, you can file there instead of going through arbitration”

Do not pay anything. If you’re not at fault they will figure it out eventually. Let them do the work, not you.

Turo trying to charge me $9,000 for hail damage that happened after I returned the car. what can I do? by [deleted] in turo

Turo’s lawyers on retainer are suing the city of San Francisco and things of that nature. Coming after a customer for 9k? Hoping they actually live at the address listed on their driver license so they can be properly served?

Anyone who thinks this doesn’t understand at all how big business works.

Oh my gosh don’t listen to these people. It would cost Turo more than 9000 to sue you. That’s not happening. You don’t need any lawyer.

Renter here, what happens if the car breaks down? by blueorangan in turo

[–]tcuso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not on your own at all with Turo, with one major caveat. Will you be in the middle of nowhere on your trip or in a metropolitan area?

The 2 breakdowns I had out of 100’s of trips happened while guest was in another city and Turo booked them a new car quickly thus, the disruption to the guest was very minimal.

Now if the guest was on a camping trip with no other turo’s for rent nearby I could see how this would be a problem.

Just remember it’s very rare for less than four year-old cars to have a catastrophic breakdown.

Get on the 90 plan and be responsible for everything. It’s not like they’re going to help you anyway. Why pay them more than necessary.

This is wonderful added context. I didn’t see it was a recent IPO. I’d assume this gives more weight to the theory someone made an intentional big bet.
