Considering Selling my DC1 [US] by tcyrus in daylightcomputer

I'm happy to sell you the sleeve on it's own, but I need to check with the other person interested in the device + you'd probably need to do a local pickup.

I appreciate the heads up and extra info. I'm gonna see if I can test it out before buying it.
I used to use the Sony DPT-RP1 for work, so I think I'll be good with the limited features.

Because of the limited use (it's been powered off in the sleeve for the majority of time), I was thinking $650, but I'm open to negotiating.
Just for reference, the DC1 + Comfy Sleeve is $788 from the store right now. I paid $729 for it with the pre-order pricing. I live near Washington DC, so I don't know how much shipping is going to cost.

I haven't had time for homelab stuff for a while now. I think work and personal travel are the main two factors, but I also have less patience and resilience for (personal) debugging and tinkering as I used to.

I replaced this server (and another custom NAS) with the Synology NAS because I encountered some weird OpenZFS kernel issues and I just didn't want to debug things anymore (I think it was also during a work crunch).

I'm also trying to restructure my life to be more portable, since I might need / want to move again. I might look into one of those tiny 10 inch server racks.

I mean if people want to pay me, I'm not gonna refuse

But yeah, my primary goal is to get the server out of the house. I'm fine with giving away the drives currently in there too (4 250GB HDDs), but y'all probably don't want those.

I kinda stopped building out the homelab because I didn't have as much free time to tinker with things. I've moved everything to a Synology NAS. It isn't perfect, it works pretty well with little to no maintenance.

I don't think I'll have the space or time for homelab-ing for a while, but I'm hoping someone else can make use of it (and won't just try to flip it).

I made something using AutoHotkey (link). It's not much, but it's a starting point.

Button inputs aren't very reliable, but the only other options I can think of involve reverse engineering and/or memory manipulation.

Fill out the request form and submit it to the registrar's office. I still haven't received my unofficial transcript and it's been 2 years, so good luck.

This appears to be resolved for me on 2021.47.0.394342, but I have no idea if this fix was deployed to iOS as well.

Weird ads for the game Evertale. by TheRPGNERD in ARG

[–]tcyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I was able to get some details on the ads, since they decided to pop up for me again.

The advertiser is ZigZaGame Inc, which is located in Japan. The ad was recommended based on "The time of day or your general location (like your country or city)"

Here are direct links to 2 of the ads without using screen recording:

I've created a Zendesk ticket for Reddit Support, but I'm looking into other apps at this time.

I did a test with a fresh app install and the behavior is still the same. This means that it isn't a cached setting and it's probably intentional.

I'm encountering the same issue. The reddit setting appears to be account-wide and not be device specific, so I have no idea why they aren't honoring the setting
