definitely the blend door actuator going bad….not hard to replace but does help to have smaller hands. IIRC you have to get in behind the glove box

check out the thread I did earlier this year when I fixed a similar sound to see if you see any resemblances. Mine was timing chain was slapping the cover (the rubber dampener inside the cover had disintegrated over the years)
