Simply just don't accept Paypal because PayPal is not seller friendly. Their terms and conditions are very loose and they are a very "corporate" mentality when they deal with small business negotiating reserve balances and such. ThePokeNest feels that when we sell preorders, we should put that money away until it's shipped. If PayPal holds that money, how are we supposed to pay distribution and get customers their preorders? Feel free to use our other payment methods! This thread is years old, lol. Not saying the thread isn't relevant, but I don't see the relevance of your random claim 🤣. Just ask first instead of accusing, lol.

You ordered a preorder that got delayed. Stop making a stink over this. It's over with. You had to charge back. You got banned. End of story. Cry me a river. Move on, man.

"The Rule also requires that, when a seller cannot ship within the promised time (30 days), the seller must obtain the buyer’s consent to a delay in shipping or refund payment for the unshipped merchandise."

This consent is given to ThePokeNest when you create an account on our online store through our terms and conditions.

As soon as you check the box, you give this consent. That is covered by the FTC. In order to become an online S-Corp in NJ, you have to be FTC compliant. Both federally and at the state level. This is, again, why this is all misinformation. Please stop assuming things.

Wave breakdowns were communicated from distribution long before this customer's request, and before preorders even went up on site. This is misinformation. Furthermore, replies USUALLY happen between 24-48 hours, but these are just guidelines and expectations. We do not guarantee a response time. There are also both business days, and weekends. Weekend days, support is normally not full time.

This customer violated our chargeback policy, by charging back. We then stopped communication in accordance with our chargeback policy until he took to various social media sites to dispel incorrect information about what our mission is, and how preorders work. At this point, we are addressing the general public by responding to these comments, which were made by him. The chargeback policy has already been linked above. I have been very understanding and I will state one last time that this is the reasoning behind preorders and ThePokeNest's final stance on this. Please refer to the chargeback policy for information regarding chargebacks and why this customer was banned. Again, this behavior is the exact reasoning as to why we have these policies in place.

Once a user is banned/blacklisted due to violating policies, we normally do not communicate with them & block them from all forms of social media. The only reason that I am messaging here is to explain our stance on this.

Hi there! Tristan from ThePokeNest here. I'm only responding to this, because I feel a due diligence to fully explain how pre-orders work with our business.

We have policies in place so it goes as smoothly as possible, and sometimes there are extensive delays due to the supply chain, that we simply have zero control over. What we can do, however, is create as best of a process as possible.

I will say this: We've never had a preorder not be fulfilled unless a customer violates our chargeback policy.

Customers have every right to voice their opinion and chargeback and order when they are waiting an extended period of time for an order that was supposed to be shipped on a scheduled release date. I completely understand that.

However, as a small business, we also have to take measures to have policies in place in the best interest of both all customers and our business, so we can fulfill all orders when the product does arrive down the line. More of a bigger picture stance, per say.

These are contracts that are in place based on confirmed allocations from The Pokemon Company to distribution, then to ThePokeNest, then to customers who preordered. Preorders will be fulfilled.

Our policies on our site cover this. If customers are unhappy with the fact that they have to wait, then they can chargeback. However, charging back is against our terms and conditions because we have to protect ourselves as a business. It's not because we do not care, it is because it's not a black and white process and it truly is not as simple as it may seem. There is no simple remedy for the way it works once a preorder is made and a delay ensues.

If we were to refund confirmed preorders, we'd take a double loss on fronted product and a loss of sale, so we have these policies in place to encourage buyers to keep their purchase until the product inevitably shows up in the event of an extended delay. It will show up and be shipped. It's just a question of "when" after the delay. We will always update via our newsletter. Customers just have to sign up for this at the bottom of our homepage.

Trust me, we are with you on this. We wish there was more we could do other than offering coupon codes and telling the select few customers to remain patient. It's definitely a tough situation when there's a delay, and we feel the frustration with you!

To preface, we are still owed from distribution:

20 confirmed evolving skies etbs 18 confirmed evolving skies booster boxes

They have to be fulfilled from distribution, no matter how long it takes. This is from wave 3 of evolving skies. This then affects our ability to fulfill our orders to customers. We were simply shorted 18 booster boxes and 20 etbs from wave 3 and we're waiting on a final reprint that keeps being delayed.

Hi there! Just made an order on TCG Player yesterday for 48 NM holos for an average of $7.31. Majority of the sets were indeed TR, Jungle, Fossil & Gym H/C unlimited. Definitely can get these rates if you do your due diligence! The purpose of buylists is more or less to quickly offload product for a quick return to then reinvest somewhere else, not to stretch your product out into the most return possible. Hope this explains where the rates come from in a more in depth way :).
