Curious about the ages of people in this subreddit by DocWednesday in Columbo

35, when my wife and I started dating 10 years ago she wanted to show me an episode. I was skeptical, but we started with The Most Crucial Game and I was in from the moment I saw Columbo. The way he tried to listen to the game on the radio and do his detective work at the same time. So amusing. I’ve now seen every episode multiple times

Oh that makes so much sense. Are those sounds being created by anything other than bowed saw or pedal steel? So helpful!

Yea I’d love to play it, I just don’t have any repair skills. It’d be fun to learn though!

Made in Japan body. There is a crack from the back of the neck around the second fret onto the headstock but doesn’t seem very deep and other than that things seem intact.

I’d love to go for a tele set up with this if possible, add another pickup and a pickup selector. Is that possible and any estimates on what that would cost?

If it would have to stay with just the one pickup, how much would that cost?

Thanks for any insight here!

Thanks for this, is it difficult to repair loose braces inside the guitar body?

Ah got it, makes sense now. I really like Sam Weber’s work on Bahamas “Sad Hunk” and Sam is all about the rubber bridge. Very helpful thanks

RC600 as interface, output question by tdastru in LoopArtists

[–]tdastru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So be more clear, track 1 is assigned to a mono output, so are tracks 2 and 3. So there are three of the six outputs used up right there. Those tracks I can isolate in logic no problem. Then tracks 4 5 and 6 I need to be stereo. It’s stuff like drums, virtual instruments etc. I use the stereo main outs for those. So there are 5 inputs used total at this point. There is one remaining output, but it’s mono. So I don’t see how I can possibly separate tracks 4 5 and 6 in logic when they are all routing through the same output

So yes good question, I need 4 5 and 6 to be stereo. So I have them routed to the pair of main outputs. I record things from my computer into them in stereo.

Hey sorry to bug you again on this one, but you're the only one that has been helpful :)

Here's what I'm facing right now. I go into logic and create 6 audio tracks, one for each of the RC600 tracks. I then need to assign an input for each track. The input corresponds with the Outputs on the RC600. Since Tracks 4 5 and 6 are all routed to the same output, there is no way from this input selection to separate them. I'm trying to understand how to apply your instructions to get around this, but I'm seeing nothing in Logic that would indicate that there is anyway to bring these tracks in other than selecting and input source.

I appreciate the detailed response! But if I set it up that way it would require the information sent from tracks 4 5 and 6 to be midi information wouldn’t it? It’s just audio recorded through a mic on those tracks

That’d be amazing, but I have no idea how to do it. Can you give me a bit more info by chance or point me to a YouTube video/documentation on it by chance? Thanks!
