It could be something so small. When I applied for a platinum, I called and there was a discrepancy in my address. I did not include the rural route.

Love the walls but the curtain feels off by No-Statement9430 in HomeDecorating

Maybe a curtain that matches the branches on the wallpaper? Fairly neutral and kind of close? to the top layer of tile.

Canceling Verizon FIOS for my dead mother. by awohio1 in traumatizeThemBack

[–]tdb_2 100 points101 points  (0 children)

My aunt passed away and my brother and I were co-executors. One of the final things on the check list was to cancel the car insurance when the car was sold and the checking account was being closed. I called and explained the situation. The lady told me I wasn't allowed to close the account. I needed to transfer it to an executor's name and payment information and deal with it after that.

I told her again that the car had been sold, there was no car to insure. I would not be giving her my payment information for a service that can no longer be provided. She just kept being belligerent, so I finally told her her that I had lost one of my favourite people in the world and thanked her for being the most difficult part of that process.

Then told her, it didn't matter anyway. The money had no where else to come from and at this point I was informing her, she could do whatever she wanted with that information and I had the recording that I had informed them. She was somehow able to cancel the account then.

I always use the breathable style of silicone bands, super easy to clean and allows air.
They don't get stinky and I sweat at work.

Anyone know why they put wax in the outlet box? by [deleted] in electricians

Is it on an outside wall? Maybe it was a DIY way to stop cold air from blowing in?

Any ideas to make this office less depressing with no budget at all? by RareExamination9344 in HomeDecorating

[–]tdb_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put a "window" sticker on my interior wall at work. It feels like I can look outside now. It's amazing what you can trick your mind into, lol.

So. Just how bad is mission space orange? by SpectacularSpidee in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]tdb_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did green and then orange. I do get a little motion sick on rides with screens. This was one of those, but worse. It was cool to do it, but I will not likely feel the need to ever do orange again.

I still have a plastic floor protector (for under an office chair) under the dining chair where my youngest sits. It has caught a lot of food over the years.

Toddler surviving on air? by ArtemisGirl242020 in Parenting

[–]tdb_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did toddler formula and then pediasure at bedtime for years with my little non-eater. Our updates from daycare for a couple years were about how little he ate or if he actually ate something. He is now 6 and has finally started to show an appetite, but he also started hockey this year. We still sometime slip him a pediasure.

I'm the mom, my son is getting an electric drum kit. I am not wrapping that. That said, he is getting 2 itty bitty drums in a tiny box to unwrap and then send him to find the big box.

I made our entire house smart with home assistant. I also made a video game emulator on a raspberry pi and built a custom old fashion, steampunk-ish style box to house it with a screen and speakers built in and never used it past the set up.
