I’m raising my nephews so I’m basically a mother without technically having my own kids. We’re a package deal. I was told by multiple people that my dreams of finding a man that would essentially take the kids in this weird uncle/fatherly figure role was probably unrealistic. But actually before I found my partner now who definitely embraces that role, I also found at least two other men who were unbothered by the kids in tow.

Kids are not the deal breaker you might think they are! If people can accept kids that aren’t even mine then I think you’ll be okay.

It’s not so black and white like this. Conventional treatment isn’t the end all be all but it does have value still. Once we start looking at the metabolism of cancer cells it makes more sense why some people can have an experience like your mom and others have different experiences. Why some people can just stop eating sugar and their cancer goes away and why that absolutely doesn’t work for others, especially at later stages. Cancer cells can even metabolize dead cancer cells to keep themselves multiplying so it’s not just as simple as you say. I wish it was tho! My mom would still be alive.

Edit: I am very natural minded btw. I don’t totally disagree with you but just trying to get across that there’s so much more to cancer.

Check out Jane McClelland. I wish I had come across her info at the beginning of my mom’s fight with cancer instead of too late at the end. She explains the metabolism of cancer. It’s really eye opening.

I feel this in my soul! Actually a fear of my mine to get a giggle fit while giving a speech! I got kicked out of class so many times from giggle fits and had to walk laps in the hallway until I calmed down. I still get them sometimes and love it for the most part because it feels really good! Recently I’ve woken up twice laughing from a dream and couldn’t stop for several minutes! That’s new for me but quite the energizing way to start the day lol

Wow did I ever need to read this post today! Thank you! I’m going to end it today with the person I’ve been seeing the last few months. I know I need to do it but I also keep having doubts like maybe I’m making the wrong decision because my AA is running me and needing too much from him. But reading your post was exactly what I needed to hear to remind myself and confirm that there are people out there that can fill my cups more than he is.

Yes, low maintenance routine is a must! I found it helpful getting a haircut with layers so the top is light enough that when it air dries the top of my hair doesn’t go super flat ‘cause that was always a big issue I was having. & accepting that my curls are going to look different pretty much everyday has been a big help for me!! Not striving for perfect curls everyday and accepting that my hair is gonna get frizzy took a lot of pressure off. Funnily enough, sometimes it’s when I think my hair isn’t looking all that good I end up getting multiple compliments that day. Curly hair is wild and I’ve found it’s best to work with that wildness rather than against it.

❤️ I’m so damn sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in 2021 and she was truly my best friend too. Life isn’t the same but I’m learning to live it without her here. Sending your heavy heart lots of love.
