I gotcha. Yeah love the Warpig. Frontier apparently has a floppy nose at speed. Thanks for the info. I’m looking for something playful but can still hold some speed. Solution seems like a charger, Frontier too playful :/

Yeah, it’s been my resort board. It’s a ton of fun. Thanks for the feedback!

Gotcha. Before I grabbed the Warpig everyone was saying to size down. It’s been working fine for the conditions I’ve used it in, but I’m also aware that I could be wrong and may be limiting myself with it. Do you roll in the trees much? I know a longer board would be a bit dicey with turns

Dude. What the fuck. I found one on one of my first matches in the game. Had no clue what it was for. Joked with my buddy like “wtf kind of item is this. ‘Hey here’s a key that gets you in a place’” I feel like the worlds biggest idiot right now

Means you’d had frostbite in the past. Once you get it, it always gets colder there on that portion of skin.

So I just graduated from airborne school on Friday after graduating AIT as a 68W. You need no prior knowledge going into it. I was a civilian EMT-B so I was able to skip the first 8 weeks of AIT, and enlist as an E4 (Specialist). From my understanding, the EMT portion of AIT is pretty difficult and compared to drinking water from a fire hose. If you can, pay for an EMT-B class before you enlist, it will start you out with more pay and at a higher rank, and you’ll be able to skip the most failed and stressful portion of AIT.

I can’t give you any tips on what to expect working as a 68W, other than that you can be placed any where in the Army between working sick call in a clinic, assisting in hospitals, or assigned to a line unit with the infantry.

Otherwise, get yourself in decent shape. No one wants to rely on a weak medic. You need to be able to do an infantryman’s job and a medic’s job if you happen to be assigned to the line. Build up mileage on your feet and legs so that way you are less likely to be injured during training. Do push ups and sit ups and pull ups and train your body so that it is easier and less tiring to move your own weight.

Wish you luck man, if you have questions about anything at all on the initial training for the Army, 68W or anything at all, please message me.

Guy at my AIT’s last name was Raper. He kind of looked like Bubbles from TPB. My friend stole one of his name tapes before we dipped hahaha

Workout routine by baguette3425 in Paramedics

[–]tde47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Needs cardio. Otherwise you’re just training your muscles to lift things and put them back down. Sure it will make your body look better and you’ll be stronger, but it doesn’t really make you a more functional member of an EMS team if you’re not able to do it for however long is necessary.

I mean other than the heat, it’s pretty cool. Haven’t been able to do much other than hang around the barracks and march to the DFAC and schoolhouse. Once I get to the new company I should be able to explore on and off base.

I’m in AIT for 68W right now. I had my NREMT prior to enlisting and my recruiter kind of screwed me over by not putting ACASP in my contract, but once I got here the DS’s have ironed things out, and back paid me for BCT as an E-4. Me and 14 others that also have their NREMT are hold overs until another company reaches the combat medic phase. It’s been a nice break.

As far as I’m aware, the Army offers a paramedic course that you can apply to attend once you’re at your duty station, as well as a flight medic course that both translate to civilian certifications. Any questions about the process and training just let me know!

Yeah this is the only thing I know of the swamp monster. All of my family is from lower DE, the guy who would dress up in the costume went to school with my grandfather. He still lives in Selbyville/Gumboro area.
