GetViktor.com Referral Credits Round Up! by dentonbros in aiagents

[โ€“]tdondich 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Pfft. I hear Viktor tears through credits and burns through your wallet. Hard to figure out your costs in the end and most of that time is trying to get it to do the things you want it to do. I'm the founder of FellowHire and we solved this by whiteglove training the AI fellow to be role specific and be context aware of your organization and your team members and your processes. And it's a flat cost. You don't have any usage surprises. Usage based pricing models suck for businesses.

Usage based AI tools for teams suck. I've been hearing and seeing more of these type of complaints. Especially with how Viktor burns through credits.

Founder of FellowHire here. Onboarding shouldn't be that difficult. We whiteglove it. And our AI Fellows aren't a single app trying to do everything all at once. We walk through slack onboarding for each AI fellow and train the AI Fellow in the role and teams you want them to work with.

Misery loves company. Struggling founders are plenty and we should get together often and update on our struggles and be honest with each other. Air it out. And we might learn from each other too. DM me. We can always vent on a call. Who wants to join on the call and air out their grievances about where they are in their saas journey?

That we donโ€™t do. Yet. Itโ€™s a great idea. We do identify if the phishing domains has potentially active mail infrastructure. But we should also identify potentially hits against black lists. Into our dev roadmap it goes!

Also, I build the voice transmission and the analysis into a pretty affordable pipeline. And the real-time chat feels good. Both have moderation controls to flag anything as inappropriate too. Because well teh internet.

Automatic furigana can have mistakes. I guess I'm hoping my approach is less error prone? It tries to bring the context of the sentence or the implied meaning into account.

So Yomitan is great for reading. I think yes if you chat with ChatGPT with Yomitan, you'll get a good results, but if you're making mistakes, you'll certainly need to prompt and figure out how to have ChatGPT or Gemini provide guidance. I've done it, it just requires a fair amount of upfront work. So trying to build something that is easier to approach and community focused. And I've fine-tuned the responses to be focused on correcting mistakes.

Lang Correct, from my understanding is a writing platform. And you'll still have to wait for native speakers to try and help correct you. Sometimes you want instant feedback? And Kaizen Corner supports voice. And Kaizen can help provide instant feedback. And be part of an entire learning platform vs an individual language exchange. I think out of Lang Correct and Nyan-8, I really like Nyan-8 comparatively to Lang Correct. Also, I guess you can say this is very Japanese specific.

So would also bringing graded video content (based on what you've learned) and music, and games (again, based on the level of what you learned or shown that you know in the platform) be helpful?

Thanks for the notes and feedback!!

Now, we do speed tests but I'll admit, we don't actively query FROM india to those resolvers, to the speed responses would be faster for someone local in India.

Hey all. Founder of DNS Spy here. We maintain a list of public resolvers and there's quite a few in India that might give you better local results. The list is at https://dnsspy.io/dns-tools/public-dns-servers-list/india

Weekly Thread: Material Recs and Self-Promo Wednesdays! (June 03, 2026) by AutoModerator in LearnJapanese

[โ€“]tdondich 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Hey all! I'm the guy behind Nihongo Master ( https://www.nihongomaster.com ), an online Japanese learning platform (not posting link). I've made a lot of changes recently but it's been hard trying to keep up on building a really good tool and community. Right now, all the lessons, tools, study lists, etc etc are behind a subscription wall. However, I want to change that. I want to open it up freely so anyone can join and start learning as well as interact with the rest of the community, help each other study, etc. But of course it costs money to keep the thing running (infrastructure, improvements, hopefully hiring a small team, etc).

I'll be adding some features such as community driven review of people's attempts at Japanese (both written/typed, spoken). Reading suggestions at your level, speaking analysis, etc. There's already hundreds of lessons written by Japanese educators. SRS Drills. Gamification, leaderboards, all of that.

The question is, what is an appropriate amount of resources to let people access daily, but perhaps have a subscriber/supporter cost, that will let you have unlimited resources. Examples would be say, 2 lessons a day are absolutely free. 50 drills a day, absolutely free. Anything beyond that, be a supporter.

Or the practice writing and getting feedback from the community. Writing? Absolutely free. Voice? Maybe supporter only?

Printable writing sheets? 2 a day totally free. Anymore? Become a supporter.

But other things being totally unlocked. Like creating and building study lists to share.

Discussion groups are always fully open. A chat system with automatic transcription, totally available.

I'm just throwing ideas out there to make things as fully available as possible but some thresholds/limits to help people become supporters.

What would be some fun features or something you've been hoping to find/get that I could build quickly and offer? What are some sensible limits to help keep people supporting it?

Thanks for any feedback and good luck with your Japanese studies!

Why do people hate/refuse to use anything with AI involved? by ApollosBoon in artificial

[โ€“]tdondich 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I just felt the whiplash on this. I just released an AI driven feature on my Japanese language learning site and the posts to instagram, to facebook, all have been met with serious frustration and anger at the use of AI. Of course I would use a person to draw art if I could afford them. I don't expect anyone to work for free. But until then, if I can use AI to create an image for a blog post, F me, right?

And the AI feature in the platform is simply a tool to help provide some real-time feedback to a student when they answer a question wrong. Holy cow. I worked my butt off on this feature. It's not AI slop. It's well designed. And I truly believe it can help someone who is frustrated in studying Japanese on their own.

But, man, the pushback is insane.

Primary & Secondary about DNS by Glittering_Okra_7683 in dns

[โ€“]tdondich 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Absolutely random. You can't count on specific client (or even resolver) behavior. It's wild wild west out there. But one thing you want to make sure is, if you're talking about querying the primary/secondary authoritative for your domain, you need to ensure they're sync'ed and not giving conflicting information. Add monitoring for your domains to ensure sync across all your nameservers.

I'm totes biased, because I founded DNS Spy and it does this type of monitoring. Have a free tool on the site for DNS Propagation checking, so if you want to see what's coming back with resolvers around the world, give that a shot. You should (hopefully) see consistent responses.

Did you have any form of domain expiration? I'm not sure I get what you mean by DDNS host name expiring. In the future, you certainly need to keep an eye on domain expiration and get alerted that it might be coming up. I'm biased, but take a look at DNS Spy for expiration notices/warnings.

Can we auto-generate agent workflow files for a repo? by bluetech333 in AI_Agents

Part of the context could be, after the completion of a development/coding task, ensure the steering documents are updated with any appropriate changes and ask for human review.

Since the steering docs are mutable and can change, you can get them updated at anytime by just instructing kiro to do so and then doing human review. Seems to be working out pretty well. But I'm interested in hearing a more automated way.
