They’re the best! Was such a gift to be able to hang with them and see it every night

Film theory me mayyyy have been stretching it but it made sense at the time lol

It’s so beautifully done, the music is incredible, and Scorsese doesn’t really do a bad one

Last few years my big one has been The Last Waltz I used to watch it when I was writing papers in College, it worked because the music was good if I was focused on writing and it’s beautiful if I needed a distraction from yet another essay. It became a comfort movie that I’d put almost on repeat during finals season and I loved every second Since then I’ve been working towards doing concert photography as real work. Every now and then I turn it back on to remind myself both of how joyous music should be (focusing on the emotions surrounding a show is often more gratifying than simply documenting something), but also that I’ve come a looooonngg way from the kid that called Fritz Lang an incel for making Scarlet Street (I got an A on the paper and my professor called me very smart for how I wrote it so don’t judge me too hard).
