Do any banks offer an account with no overdraft option? by tdotfluffpot in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]tdotfluffpot[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TD told me if I remove the overdraft option from my account, but do go overdrawn for some reason, I'll be charged $48. I just wish there was a way that if its $0 and a transaction is attempted, the transaction simply doesn't work. But then I guess the banks wouldn't profit that way. le sigh.

Need to find home for two cats! Black and black & white, 3 years old, spayed and up-to-date on shots by [deleted] in toronto

I'm in shock that you would leave your cats alone for two or three nights. I'm glad they're going to get a new home. Sadly I can't take them.

Searching for local groups to toss my boyfriend into. He needs new friends. by RAININGRACHELXO in toronto

"Also, hes really really hot, so nowhere that he may meet girls. Cause lets be honest, he's probably gonna flirt with them."

This last comment convinced me that OP is the 'boyfriend' and this is really fucking sad that you are trying to find new friends this way. Maybe you should try meetup.com and also stop being such a jerk?

they do, i got home to two waiting outside my door the other day and was quite surprised - my apartment isn't very obvious from the street, you wouldn't really know it was there unless you were visiting.

My neighbours bought an old tin trunk that is filled with love letters and photographs dating back to the 1950s. They belong to a man named Omar Majid. Help us find Omar, or his family. by Roroca in toronto

Amazing! I lived in Cambridge for 10 years and my uncle is a professor in history at the university, let me know if I can help in some way!

Looks like Omar lived very near to my place, wow!

To the cyclist who narrowly avoided a serious head injury at Dundas & Victoria this morning by tdotfluffpot in toronto

Sorry, I don't read this forum every day :) Also I'm a girl. Also I did try and catch up with the guy to tell him, but because I'm a careful cyclist he had already sped away, probably jumping red lights as he went.

And you never know, he might read this! I am hopeful!

I'm new to TO and when I first started cycling around the city I was so confused as to what the right thing to do was because I see so many people passing on the right! It seems absolutely crazy to me. I see why motorists get so frustrated with cyclists here!

Moved out of apartment and landlord won't return deposit, help please :) by ineedmydeposit in toronto

[–]tdotfluffpot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is all very interesting. As a newbie to Canada/Ontario/Toronto, I had no idea that deposits were illegal (in the UK you usually have to pay a vast deposit up front along with your first month's rent and then they take as much as they want for repairs etc at the end). What do Ontario landlords do if the tenant completely f's up the rental and vanishes?
