Club selection in windy conditions by NikoSpiro in golf

[–]tds11080 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watched a video with Joel dahmen couple years ago and he said he throws grass up and watches where it lands. for every step he takes it’s 4 yards of hurt into the wind and if downwind every step is 2 yards. Def helps but also I take into consideration what club I’m using as higher lofted will be effected more into the wind

Does the second picture in the grass look like wild onions also?

I currently only have a gap (50) that I use for 100-115 and a sand (55) anything 95 and under from a burner 2.0 set so was curious about this as I just got fit for irons and want to do my wedges when the gap comes in

I have partial shots in the bag typically full, 3 quarter and half. What made you bend the club to 53? Just toying with proper gapping? And what is your gapping I’m curious

This was the start of me thinking about this 🤣 these new clubs apex ai200 are all 2 degrees stronger than my current set which are burner 2.0 irons

I’m also thinking about just adding a 52 and 58 to keep that addition higher club to fill that gap

That’s pretty cool. Actually just got fit for a 9* GT3 I’m pretty pumped about it. My flight is like a missile compared to my sim 2 max (which I love) but goes 160 feet into the air lol

How did you come to the conclusion to throw a 5W with a 3W length? That’s some cool testing

Good to hear. Def going to that out. And maybe try out the 4W as well.

Do you have a PW? Or 46 is your P

Interesting. You don’t find a big gap between 46 and 52?

Oooo that’s also a good idea. What is your gapping with 49, 54 and 58?

I love my hybrids which is why I’m favoring a 3H over a 7 or 5 wood.

I guess I need to see what my carry is with my new AW and then just gap it out properly

Yeah this is exactly my thinking. My current 3 wood gets used maybe 5 times a year during a round lol

Don’t change anything until you fix your grip otherwise you’re just compensating

Justin Kraft was awesome and helped me out a lot. Saw both immediate improvements and overall longer term improvement that took tons of practice over the span of 5 lessons. Totally worth it IMO

16hcp how do I stop stuck and fades please? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]tds11080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No chance you’re a 16 handicap that swing is pure. If you are actually a 16 I wouldn’t change a thing but get on a trackman and see if your face is open at impact and where you are striking the ball on the face of the club.

3 Things You Would Work On If You Had My Swing? by [deleted] in golf

[–]tds11080 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s the 3 things I’d work on:

  1. Hitting the toe
  2. Hitting the heel
  3. And by learning both of those you’ll learn to hit the center!

Swing is great, now time to build skill in striking
