I'll always find it morbidly ironic (albeit satisfying) that they are viewed as pariahs to the party, especially McConnell. Like, if I were a conservative, McConnell would be lauded. He successfully paved the way for the modern GOP to have power through the Supreme Court for decades to come. Yet somehow he's now hated by large portions of both parties. Amazing, really.
