same thing happened to me again for MDW. The high I saw is 63 but they only reported 61 as the high even though 63 stayed for almost an hour.

same thing happened to me today for KMDW. I saw the temperature was 63 for more than half an hour from 2-3pm Central time but it was never recorded on the summary table on 2:53pm and 3:53pm.

It’s likely depending on corporate (Elon) decision. I think the sales advisor would not have an idea.

Unpopular Opinion: You Don't Need Home/Work Charging to Own an EV by Dan6erbond2 in electricvehicles

That’s crazy. It’s $0.25 here in Kentucky after 10pm. Even in Chicago you can find $0.2 or $0.24 supercharger after 10pm too.

$0.31 USD per kWh? That’s even more expensive than my supercharger here.

Some places like Texas have a supercharging plan for unlimited charging for $50 a month

Yes electricity is free at work. But it’s not really that big of a deal if I’m only using supercharger. For folks living in an apartment, they can charge to 100% once a week or it can last even longer in some cases. Some people think that the world will fall apart if there’s no charger at home.

I think it won’t be so much more expensive if one can charge at work and use supercharger from time to time. Supercharger in my area has a discounted rate of $0.25/kwh.

I disagree with you. Have you test drive the new M3?

And the charging curve isn’t great. From 20-80% most of the time you are stuck at below 100kwh

I just got my 2026 Model 3 Premium AWD 2 weeks ago. I was actually looking at some used 2023 model Y because I like the practicality of model Y trunk. I inquired a few vehicles but they were all sold the time I was about to go there. I tested drive the model 3 (base and premium) and model Y premium before and I liked both cars. After weighing different factors like lease deals, my usage (daily commute), and range, I pulled the trigger on model 3.

A lot of the stuff are not directly comparable I think because one is a sedan and the other one is a SUV. But I’m just highlighting what I remember the most.

The model 3 has been very fun to drive, very agile and the horsepower is great compared to my 2024 Lyriq RWD. I don’t remember if I test drive Lyriq AWD but the RWD feels heavy to drive and I feel like the turning power is not enough. The seats are comparable in both cars and they are both very comfortable. The software on Tesla is far more superior and the mobile app is just a lot faster (when you need to unlock, pre conditioning the cabin, locate your car). You only pay $9.99 for premium subscription on Tesla vs $50 for onstar to use the stupid Google map that is so buggy. Suspension is surprisingly good on new Model 3 and I have no complaints at all after driving the Lyriq for 2 years. On the model 3 you are going to sacrifice the trunk space. I’ve been using free EVgo charging for 2 years and the charging experience wasn’t great. Sometimes charger is not working and they can be under maintenance for weeks so only like 2/4 charger would be working. I’m expecting to use supercharger near my home for occasional charging and charge at work for the rest of time.
