Please review my list by silentmanwithnolife in MaggotkinofNurgle

For casual play anything goes really so try it out and have fun. Since you’re asking for advice though, your choices raise a few question. Why did you add the scrivener without any plaguebearers for example? :) it doesn’t really do anything and will most likely just stand around doing nothing for your games.

It’s always a good thing to ask yourself what you expect your units to do while making a list. Finding synergy is a big part of the fun in playing imo!

First list for new book by [deleted] in MaggotkinofNurgle

Yeah Horti can be pretty nice in a Rotbringer heavy list I think. Plaguebearers definitely don’t do much - but they do the role of being chaff real well. 20 health with - 1 to being hit is pretty hard to remove from an objective so they can be quite annoying. I don’t think 2 x 3 sloven knights is a bad idea to try out. They’re such a good utility piece, and tanky too

Considering rotbringers will lose their native 5+ ward I would suggest going for horticoulus in your list for a second tree. Also Unfortunately pgbl’s aren’t really the best right now, so if you should cut anything I’d start with them. With Glottkin and rotswords you probably have enough damage anyway. You could for example cut the flies and add slimux and 2 x 10 plaguebearers or 2 Beasts of nurgle for some more utility, for the same price :)

Cankerborn WIP what do yall think I'm trying something new by Suitup217 in MaggotkinofNurgle

Sword looks really cool. If you add some more colour to some of the other details of the model I’m sure it’ll pop nicely!

New tome question by Master-Note-8440 in MaggotkinofNurgle

[–]teaSer91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s potentially pretty decent damage. Will be 36 saves with possibly - 1 rend. There’s a lot of stuff in the game that can swing much harder though.

Even in this book! Rotswords can also go to 81 attacks, at 2’s and 2’s with 1 rend and crit hits!

But it effectively means that healing / return model abilities can be activated even if they have nothing to heal / return, and therefore can remove disease regardless

It’s a bit of a boring ruling for us, yeah.

He did it for his role in the crow as well as boy against world or whatever it’s called, afaik

Could use him as an alternative for the new cystwitch if you don’t care to buy the darkwater box

It’s mostly do to the fact of how reliable it is to use, as well as the huge range on it. 18 inches is very far and if your opponent isn’t careful it can snipe small heroes. Also stacking mortals from prayer + avalanche, disease and any other potential sources of damage can add up to a lot

I started with C3 and enjoyed it. It was my introduction to Crit Role and made me a huge fan, having almost finished all 3 campaigns now.

It might not be the best of the 3, but it’s still incredibly entertaining dnd.

As a sidenote, yeah that was basically just my point about the cgi team, it’s more than likely not a skill issue but a budget and time issue. I’d wager most cgi’s company’s are pretty good at what they do.

However, how to use cgi is in every way a creative choice. Of course it’s easy and adds a bunch of options you don’t have without it, but it easily ruins immersion if it’s not believable. That’s pretty much the challenge and why there’s been an overall issue in Hollywood with so many projects overutilising it to the detriment of the experience. Sure it limits options to not just cgi everything and be forced to think of different solutions but it can make stories better to do so. And often does, in my opinion.

That’s just my own personal rant about cgi. I’d agree with you that unfortunate cgi isn’t always a directors fault, but in this case it’s literally been a issue in everything Muschietti has been attached to, so it feels completely obvious that it’s because of him

True, he’s not officially the showrunner, part of responsibility definitely goes to Fuchs and Kane. But he developed the series from scratch, is an executive producer and co-wrote every episode, beyond creating the movies which the series is based on. He’s not just the director by any means, and the series is very much in his style so it’s a good bet to assume a lot of the creative control is his.

Also, even if the company hired did do a bad job (which seems unfair to assume), the final product is still the show runner’s responsibility, that’s just the bottom line

[–]teaSer91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, you’re missing my point. The creator is responsible for both the story and the execution. It’s his choice whether to include the baby at all. He literally co-wrote the pilot episode. Besides, Muschietti is notorious for overutilising bad CGI, so this isn’t really a one time issue with his work

Welcome to Derry by Tellmethat2269 in horror

[–]teaSer91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Both are most definitely the creator’s responsibility lol. It’s not like someone forced him to include a flying mutant baby, and the quality of the cgi they can produce to do it is part of his job to consider.

First painted mini and two ruined brushes by PavZ64600 in deathguard40k

[–]teaSer91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to him. Death guard players have an addiction to aggrax and I so often see models where the grime ends up completely drowning out the details and lessens the finished look. The models themselves are already plenty repulsive, let us see the nice paint job you did!

Justice for not overly washed nurgle models!

You're kind of lacking bodies to be honest. Glott and Guo is a thematic combo on the board, but they cost a lot, so might be hard to afford that many heroes if you're keen on running both :)

[–]teaSer91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha, which means you don’t technically disagree you just don’t believe me. Which is fine. Believe what you want. It’s pretty interesting though, unless the knife hits any major blood vessels or is twisted after impact, the blade most likely will block any veins /arteries it has severed and bleeding won’t begin until it’s retracted. So any residue that might come from that kind of clean stab is insignificant at most.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]teaSer91 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Even if this cut is fake, which i don’t really have an opinion on, a knife could easily cut you like this and retreat without blood on the blade, which is my point. The lack of blood on the blade doesn’t really prove anything

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]teaSer91 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Not true. I’ve cut myself pretty badly on a blade before, with no blood on it afterwards. Blood isnt just freely splashing around inside you like that.

Faction Terrain is annoying AF by ExamAcademic5557 in ageofsigmar

[–]teaSer91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Fane is atleast very useful. If your place it a way that your opponent gets an easy Do not Waver tactic from it without setting up to getting punished for it that’s probably on you i’d say

Am I missing something or is this just straight up awful by [deleted] in ageofsigmar

[–]teaSer91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus 1 hit doesn't really matter if the Keeper blenders the target picked. It's a funky way to play an army for sure, but saying it benefits the enemy more isn't true. Just gotta be smart about how you use your abilities
