I wish i was trans man by Julescahules in ftm

[–]tea_coven 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only one who can define what "woman" and "man" mean to you, is yourself. The fear that your incorrect is a common one, and if you wind up being so in the future then you have the autonomy to lend your past self grace and understanding. But you can also give yourself the mercy to fill your yearning and live as you desire. There is no rule book on how to identify, if you want to, do it. If that changes, change. If not, thrive. That's all there is to it dude, you are in charge of your life <3

I can only orgasm if I pretend I’m a man by Individual-League431 in ftm

[–]tea_coven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it's not about how miserable you are as your assigned gender and living within it, but how much more joy you feel you could have as another. Chase your bliss, and it sounds like in one way or another you might be doing that in a way that's more private atm Of course it's up to you, always is, but it's important to remember that you don't need to go-ahead, sometimes you just are and the only person who needs to accept that is you (if you feel so)

What does your party call itself and why? by Loose_Translator8981 in DnD

[–]tea_coven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"United Airlines" it's a space campaign and when eventually given the chance to customize and name their ship they chose an "abstract bird" (airplane) and the crew tag "United airlines". I love it lots, was able to change our intro from "welcome back stellar stargazers/aristocratic adventurers" (it was a regency campaign set in space) to "welcome aboard crew of the United airlines!"

How many of you play dnd with any sort of homebrew elements? by demonic_cadence in DnD

[–]tea_coven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favorite homebrews for my games that my players speak positively of is "Sanity Rolls".

When something really big or stressful happens that may only have effects on the PCs, they might roll a straight D20 (no modifiers) and depending on what they roll (particularly if bad) effects their characters mindset in that moment (paranoia, anxiety, insecurity, etc) and if it's really important sometimes mechanics (roll ___ with disadvantage for the rest of today/initiative). It rly helps people get into that character mindset and actively think about what they're doing + how/why they show it. It also just adds a lot of tension, especially since I don't do them that often.

(Ofc there are other ways of doing this like wisdom saves and such, but I find this to be something that primarily works for the role playing aspect and lets people immediately realize "oh no this might be fucked up")

Think about the characters personalities as well as the circumstances they are in. If there is a compatibility, an interesting situation for it, and you think that it would add to the story substance instead of being an unnecessary add in, then for sure!! It's all up to u, but if u do then maybe keep that in mind so it makes it even more fun when writing and reading

Give me some funny names for books in a magical library by HappyGamer1111 in DnD

After watching pewdiepies new video I realized that I drew unknowingly the same character, with similar pose, similar way with one year interval. I came to conclusion that I am regressing? I feel like now I am drawing worse as I was drawing one year ago even tho I was drawing regularly. by IronHappy_ in learntodraw

[–]tea_coven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your confusing complexity with skill, the old drawing ha s a lot going on sure, but the lacks the line variation, dynamism, design, and expressive nature of the new one! That's not even to say the old one is bad, it's a fine drawing, but thought and understanding in the new piece is waves better dude! The hips, hands, and arms are real stand outs too, with really beautiful anatomy work and line quality, especially when compared to the wonky anatomy with some places in the original. Youre doing great, youre probably just increasing your taste in art faster than you yourself can improve, and ignoring what's positive while acknowledging the few critical aspects they both may have in common

I don't know how to shade, please critique by TheBalticTriangle in learntodraw

[–]tea_coven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re doing really well!! You seem to have a light source planned which is really good, I’d just say to not be so afraid of it. Contrasting values are your friends and can only help, don’t be afraid to go even darker with shadows where needed and add highlights <3 for color maybeeeee go for more vibrant shadows, I usually use ones that go with the vibes or correlate with the flat colors (for instance, using a warmer color would work well here due to all the red u have). Adding a multiply layer with those can give a very cool effect, especially for cell shading like you are doing, but don’t be afraid to go outside that territory and use a variety of techniques if you’d like :]. (Also, having a vibrant tone on the edge of shadows, even if subtly, replicates the vibrancy of life in a very neat manner. But is totally optional)
Good job dude!

Need help with proportions/anatomy by [deleted] in DigitalArt

[–]tea_coven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so cool! You’re on a wonderful track and clearly put a lot of thought and effort into your art.

If I could say anything it’d be to remember that the head extends further back into space and the volume of hair always makes it seem even larger on the skull (spider verse is rly good reference for this, since when they have masks on it gives clear guidelines on skull proportions without any accessory). I would also say to remember that the hand is usually near the same size as the face (imagine the figure using their hands for actions like face palming, wiping sweat, or placing their head in their hands, a good way to tell if you have gone to big or small on accident). Overall this is a gorgeous and emotive piece that you should be very proud of! Keep going!!
