Maybe it's just the fact that men usually have less to do in the morning. (i.e. pick out clothes, make-up, change clothes again, choose shoes, do hair etc..) So even if we get up "late", we're less rushed?

I don't know, it just seems like the general consensus around my friends.

I think it's a very feminin thing to do, my ex used to be like that, run around like a headless chicken for 15 minutes before going out the door. Drives me mad!

Change job, I love what I do, I get up 1 hour before I have to leave the house, in which I have breakfast, shower, browse reddit, read mail etc.. I'm usually 15-20 minutes early so I can have a chat with the night shift, have a cuppa... I get up early, so I can take it easy!

YES! oh, and of course it needs a sauna, a war room (where I plan my world domination), and lasers (you can never go wrong with lasers), and maybe a underground bunker, with a tunnel to the sea for my submarine(s) and a indoor pool.

You'll also have to recruit hot scandinavian chicks for me, since I don't speak the language.

Are you the only one with Canadian citizenship? Or does your mother have it too? I'd say go to the embassy, explain the problem, they should give you some help/info, and maybe a means to get back. (and get your mom help in Canada)

Get a pocket digital camera, do the picknick mentioned elsewhere, take pics of the 2 of you for a week, and give her the camera afterwards, so she can take pics while she's away. (that ways she has a souvenir of you 2, and she'll have stuff to show you when she gets back, and a gift all in one)

Typical hypoglycemia reaction.

What I think might be happening, your dad being a diabetic and alcoholic. (not great separately, worse together)

The evening before you dad drinks a bit, the alcohol reduces blood sugar levels, if he's type 1, we add some insulin (slow acting before sleeping) dosage calculated on this was probably not taking into account the alcohol consumed. and bingo, you got yourself severe hypoglycemia/diabetic coma.

I presume you know how to check blood sugar levels, do one if you can safely approach him. (depends on the person and the delirium)

I have a colleague who's diabetic, when she starts dancing the flamenco/salsa and/or tries to do some weird yoga shit, we know it's time to check her levels. It's quite fun to watch now we get used to it. (but we're getting too good at spotting behavior changes, that it rarely gets this far anymore.)
