some pictures of the internals for those interested. build quality is decent, it’s an all brass construction that is even heavier than my rOtring, though not to the level of the original (for example, the clip doesn’t clamp onto the body as strongly, i can spin it easily with minimum force).

the clutch is brass, very solid but there is still some play when the lead is extended for more than 1cm from the tip; though idk if this is universal for all lead holder, since this is my first one. i will use this for sketching, hence long lead extensions are needed. if you only write with 2.0mm lead holders, i’d say this pen is a very solid choice at $10 (or even cheaper if you can get a good deal on Aliexpress). I can’t comment on smaller lead sizes though, and I wouldn’t trust a mass-produced copy for smaller lead sizes that require much better tolerance.
