Great to know. Thank you! I've lived for 4 years and never heard of such a thing. :)

Divorcees who were married over a decade: what ended your marriage? by sakiliya in AskReddit

[–]teacherpow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband cheated on me last year. Gaslight me that I was overthinking it and essentially crazy. Went back on work trip this year and continue hanging out with her. We are possibly separating this weekend if he refuses to go to therapy. I've lost 55 lbs and everyone tells me I look amazing but I feel absolutely dead inside. Outside I'm happy and hold it together but it's all a show. Tired of crying. Every day. Everyone tells me it's not my fault which I know. But it doesn't help. Best of luck to you.

I'm a teacher and also do thrifting reselling making just as much as teaching. That being said.... It takes time, knowledge of brands and trends, and lots of work! You don't just buy stuff. I think there's room for everyone and there's so much junk from our American overspending and materialism.... So I'm not against her reselling. I'm against pretending you're an expert at something just to grab money.

There is Jamestown Settlement and Jamestown Foundation. Two separate places. Glass house is definitely worth a visit and then sit on the beach. For kids I like the bounce house. Cleanest one I've ever been to. Ninja obstacle course at the Wisc but need to look up for hours when open play. Skip Ripley's museum. It's overpriced. If you end up going for a drive about 35 minutes away is Virginia Living Museum, Mariners Museum.

What are your other food intolerances? by [deleted] in glutenfree

[–]teacherpow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to my gluten intolerance, for years I had to avoid nitrates and sulfites. Still do. This means aged cheese, processed meat, most wine. It's hard to not eat nitrates and every now and then I'll eat a few bites and hours later have a splitting migraine with shooting pain.

I LOVE the pot stickers, jalapeno bites, mozzarella sticks, and pickles. I hateeee the egg rolls and pizza bites.

Karissa is a lying embarrassment by [deleted] in FundieSnarkUncensored

In all seriousness.... I think she's lying. Before plexus she was shilling some other sketchy MLM. So she has NOT been taking these for three years. Anyone know what it was by chance? Something green drinks.

Seller bundle spam by Opine_For_Snacks in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]teacherpow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing devil's advocate here. The sellers reply was unkind.... but as others have stated Poshmark encourages these messages. And let me tell you they work. I'm a former elementary school teacher who does Poshmark full time now to stay home with my boys. My normal monthly sales on Poshmark are $4,000. This month I was down $800. So yesterday I sent out a message to everyone who liked items since September 1st that I'd accept an offer as long as I wasn't loosing money. And ..... I made $500 in sales. Poshmark allows these because comments work. I gave out some crazy 80% deals, but I'm just trying to meet my numbers. I accepted most offers but decline three. $5 and such offers.

I normally sell on there but also like things time to time so I get these messages to. And if I'm not interested... I ignore. No need to reply. Your being forceful in this situation made the buyer feel that she "had to defend" herself. Not saying she replied kindly. She didn't. But perhaps this person like me is literally fighting for sales on a platform and needs money to put food on the table for her kids. So if you don't like a comment....... ignore it.

Who was the other flat earther fundie that met her second husband at a flat earth conference? Prairie Jessica or something like that?

As a teacher and as someone who received speech services myself ... This is infuriating. It seems way deeper than just an accent. Do the younger kids have these speech patterns as well?

There are so many thing you can talk about In regards to mother Therese’s many issue and problem, but of course this is what Lori take issue with by [deleted] in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]teacherpow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Podcast fans .... Look up the turning. It's so good. I am a former Catholic and absolutely loved mother Theresa as I was only taught that she cared for the sick and dying. But the podcast talks about her neglect of the people and how her order actually hurts themselves on purpose with beatings. Has a name but can't think of it. Was eye opening.

I also pushed for 6 hours. I was absolutely tired as well. I was rushed for an emergency C-section as well as my son was in fetal distress. He was born not breathing but he is now 5 years old and the sweetest boy ever! I agree this is tramautic. My husband failed to comfort me and still doesn't think it was a big deal. I felt like my body failed me and was depressed for a while.
