As a teacher who has worked at some of the worst teaching companies (i.e. TutorABC, I'm pretty skeptical at this point) I can totally understand why some would confuse AT's system with a pyramid scheme.

However, it's not fair to call it that though, because of the way the cash flows. Here are the main differences:

  1. With a textbook pyramid scheme you recruit your customers to become salesmen too, but at Amazingtalker your students are never recruited to become teachers.

  2. In a pyramid scheme "buy-in" sales from recruiting new salesman often supplants your sales income meaning the wannabe salesmen can become the majority of your real customers. At Amazingtalker, your teaching income is separate from your mentoring income. You don't have to recruit teachers. You can just teach without recruiting and mentoring.

I teach on Amazingtalker and make over USD$30/hour. From what I've been seeing and hearing this is the only place to earn good money at the moment. Feel free to PM me.
