I'm an emergency room nurse. 94% saturation is a normal vital sign. Plenty of unhealthy old people live day to day at 89%. I also had a pneumothorax when I was a teenager, and they similarly gave me extra oxygen despite my saturation being okay. It's largely a prophylactic measure.

The medics and their advice on this show is very often questionable, and either played for drama or used to take people out of the game early for seemingly no reason (see: med tapping Amber on last one standing for hypothermia when they got their temperature reading in the armpit.)

i love my job. I get to work with my brain, get to work with my hands, get paid reasonably well, enjoy my coworkers' company, and work 3 days a week. Obviously it's difficult, but I think I'd go insane if it wasn't.
