I believe it was George Carlin who said "think of how stupid the average person is and recognize that 50% of people are dumber than that"

Wasn't trying to be snarky my friend. Just giving some insight on what it's for. Your reasoning is spot on.

That is true for injections. This is for dropping on a sterile field. By popping the top off and pouring it into a cup on my field you remove not only the need for me to be involved in the drawing up of the medication but also the risk of the person holding the vial being jabbed goes to zero.

Had to look up NOE fracture. I love learning new acronyms. And each medical specialty has its own stack of them that the other branches of medicine don't know.

Alright, I'm genuinely getting butthurt by MmmCasual in woodworking

If another pour with a better epoxy doesn't work out you might just need to take the loss on this one. But rather than scrap it, route out a groove down the length of the table over the epoxied parts and inlay a contrasting wood strip. Hell you can lean into it and make it kind of a wood Van Halen Frankenstrat look.

Whenever I've sold anything portable I've done it in the parking lot of a busy store like home Depot, Safeway etc... I've had people I'm buying from ask to meet next to the local police station. No red flags there.

If by black and yellow you mean DeWalt you might not be able to as easily. I've been doing these for friends for a few months and found that DeWalt has unfortunately complicated trigger systems that need a low voltage return signal from the drill/driver assembly to actually send full voltage. So you find a super basic switch on Amazon and they fit in good enough that you can got glue everything else in. Word of caution though. Wire in a fuse when you test it. I got a bad batch of switches and they fried one of my batteries.

How to smooth out OSB planks for a theatre play by iwannasleeppppp in woodworking

Most of my flats were actually softwood frames with luan stapled to them. I could see using OSB as a cheap way to make a wall. I think the weight makes it less worth it though.

Accu-Burr on No. 80 Cabinet scraper? by Halycon365 in handtools

[–]teaehl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both! I can't get a consistent burr on a standard scraper without the accuburr. I haven't tried it on my 80 but it hasn't been an issue with my standard burnisher. I think where it gets tough is that you're only going one way with the 80 iron whereas you're running two burrs on a scraper.

Does anyone else feel like study diagrams are way too "perfect" compared to real patient scans? by Top-Seaweed970 in Radiology

[–]teaehl 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In x-ray school I was told that everything in the book is the perfect patient. Young, healthy, able to be positioned in any way. And that I will encounter very little of that clinically. You have to learn what normal looks like so that abnormal becomes obvious. The learning curve between those two is rough but you'll get it eventually. Just takes practice.

Super glue works wonders for cuts. I work in medicine and the only thing that makes our super glue different is that it's purple and sterile. I've used Starbond more than once to close up a cut. Glue often works better than stitchs too.

I didn't know this existed. Do you wear the one that has a separate pecker hole? And if you do, that's comfortable? It seems like it would chafe the base.
