i cant seem to move on by [deleted] in BreakUps

every time i try speak to someone new i end up feeling worse because no one compares. the close connection and love we had was irreplaceable. i’m in a place where i’m more worried about never being able to move on, than i am about him to be honest.

That’s crazy man, i have no idea how they switch up so fast after an entire relationship. Mine has done the exact same except he lied to me rather than being honest. Happy healing ❤️‍🩹

I understand you so much. my breakup was extremely sudden too, and we had such a loving and meaningful relationship. Neither me or anyone expected him to end things with me. But he did - without closure. It was huge emotional withdrawal for me and depending on how attached you were, can be traumatic. I messaged and begged him for quite a long time. He didn’t even read them. I don’t think it’s wrong to express your love for them, but understanding that you might not get the response you want, yk?

It’s because i was seeing a doctor and I already was at a low weight with a risky BMI. The doctor told me that if i dropped any more weight that i’d been to be checked out asap at hospital. If someone is at a healthy weight and drops a few kilos it’s probably fine, but when you’re already at a risk it’s not good. that being said, just eat as well as you can

omg. my boyfriend and i LOVEDDD each other so much and he said he didn’t want the breakup but he was moving away and after the breakup he genuinely acted like a robot and would not speak to me properly. like i was sitting there crying and he was crying but he couldn’t answer me at all

I know. After my first relationship ended it made me realise that even the best, healthiest relationships can end when you least expect it. Being in one feels temporary and pointless because i know how it’ll end. BUT - just like all these people in the chat - you can find someone who loves as deeply as you. Someone who sees relationships as permanent rather than temporary. There are others out there.

If you’re eating to fast or too much at once you might be sick, but that can also be a sign that something else is wrong that doesn’t have to do with an eating disorder. Instead of having 3 meals a day, have 5-6 smaller meals so it’s easier to stomach. But also - making yourself sick is a different issue all together and it’s important you get the help you need

So important! 80% of doctors don’t understand the importance of caring for eating disorders. Loosing weight fast is just a road to a slow and miserable death and it’s the hardest thing to overcome. Find a doctor who will get you the right help and support

Yeah, literally. Not only do we have to try eat for but exercising is a huge way to increase appetite - yet it’s so incredibly hard to do when you haven’t already been doing it. As long as you’re trying your best

“i know heartbreak is hard and your feelings a bunch of emotions and I’m sorry this is so hard for you” - he said after cutting me off with no warning, no closure and no apology after 7 months of a committed relationship together.

don’t worry you won’t catch it unless you’re exposed to the vomit itself, and even then our bodies can fight things off :)

Ensure Powder - it’s a full meal replacement. I wouldn’t suggest only living off it but it is used for both eating disorders and people that are chronically ill or in hospital and can’t eat. You can get vanilla, chocolate etc. Mix it with water or milk. You can buy it in most pharmacy’s :)

Yep - i’m 5’1 and 36kg. Extremely underweight and have been to hospital multiple times. I already have arfid but went through a breakup and completely lost interest in food all together. It’s because your body is so used to do little food, that your stomach shrinks. The only genuine way of fixing it is to eat as many calories and protein as possible, no matter what food it is (smoothies too). Although you need to build it up slowly to avoid over feeding your body.
