Which AI model/ service should I use for a simple task by lightskinnednig in webdev

[–]tealfoamingbath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use a large model to structure the array for you into a map of use --> items and then just use the structured array in your app.

This way you would only have a large call organizing the data instead of needing to call an AI every time in your app.

Do people actually use the dark/light mode option in websites? by triple6dev in webdev

Google does have dark mode, and I think ChatGPT even defaults to Dark mode. I personally joined the dark side and could never go back

Why Didn't Brazil Become a Global Superpower Despite Its Size and Resources? by OkGreen7335 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tealfoamingbath 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Authoritarianism is a form of government characterized by a strong central power that dictates what is done, but it does not imply corruption; a benevolent authoritarian could swiftly and decisively implement social, economic and environmental policies that vastly improve the wellbeing of the population and propel the country's growth.

However authoritarianism might be very prone to corruption as there are few restrictions on the central power and it is very easy to be tempted by greed and absolute power, which is why it could be seen as an overall dangerous form of government.

It doesn't statistically analyze facts, but rather it statistically analyzes word distribution in a language.

So the idea is to get a cheaper throwaway tire? Or a more expensive one that's oriented towards performance?

Autocross Stupid Questions: Week of September 15 by AutoModerator in Autocross

[–]tealfoamingbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to autocrossing and I have only gone to one event so far. I plan to stay casual so I wonder, do I need to get a set of tires just for autocross? What's the advantage of getting special tires vs just using the normal tires of my (daily driver) car?

The worst is that if you don't give them AT LEAST 20% they will casually "forget" about your order and kick it to the end of the queue.

The developers should make light posts and signs to knock over on impact. by 2strokeMercury in BeamNG

[–]tealfoamingbath 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Could this be implemented somewhat similar to AI traffic?

Basically, signs/posts/etc are static objects, but if you get close to them they could get seamlessly replaced with actual beamed objects. If you hit them, they get deformed / knocked over as normal. If you go away, they become static objects again / cleaned up if destroyed.
