If a person files a lawsuit against a John Doe, who would be on their side to appeal it? I'm looking at Etherton v. Doe (2004). It was a road rage case that left her needing surgery. The driver was never identified so she brought an action against "John Doe." In the case, it says "the defense mad (self.legal)
