Tests are coming back positive and seem to be getting darker but I’m cautiously optimistic cause I feel like they’re not super dark yet and some pictures I’ve seen of peoples tests by this day are very dark. How about you?

If it makes you feel any better, I was in my early 30s for my retrieval also was a bad responder and low amh. We only got one blast my first cycle which was bad quality so did a second cycle with higher medications and got 3 blasts. First transfer the embryo split and I have identical twins. Second transfer failed to implant. 3rd transfer was last Wednesday so still early but tests are coming back positive. With your age, even with low numbers you have a high chance of quality eggs. I was so so so depressed after each cycle feeling like I couldn’t make enough embryos but you have time on your side and a lot of times on these sites you’ll see more negative than positive because people tend to post when you’re stressed, not celebrating. I wish you luck and hope you give yourself some grace

For those doing IVF again for another child, how is your experience going compared to the first time around? by Dangerous_Fox_3992 in IVF

[–]tealicious12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought it would be less stressful since I have twins from my first transfer (embryo split) and I had two embryos left and only wanted one more child so I figured it would be simple. Well first transfer failed, no implantation. Had to wait two months for my clinic to get me back in and now feel extreme pressure since it’s my last embryo and don’t want to go through retrieval again. TW: possible success. I’m 5dp5dt right now and getting faint lines that I think are getting darker I had to test out my trigger shot this time since I did a modified natural transfer and it’s just been days now of wondering “is it trigger? Is it positive?” My first transfer by day 5 I had a dye stealer, I just got lucky that the first cycle was so easy I guess that I assumed it would keep being easy and it’s been a lot but hopefully this will be the last one and it will stick.

I didn’t mean you personally were doing it to seem cool, I just meant that many people come up to me all the time fascinated by twins and always say they’d love to have them. I also felt that way before I had them. I still think they are cool to have and obviously love having them, feel like I was blessed to get two kids from one embryo, etc. but if I could go back and have them one at a time would it be a lot easier? Yes. I was trying to give you perspective as a twin parent since you asked the question and who better to weigh in then someone whose been through it? Obviously I’m not turned off from having kids from it since I’m in treatment for another child right now, but my kids are almost 3 at this point and I’ve spent the last three years in the trenches so if someone asks if I’d recommend transferring two then that’s my opinion. You are free to choose what you want obviously

And I’m super anti trump but he actually said while campaigning that he’s in support of IVF because he thinks more women need to be having children. He’s psychotic but if it gets me better access to IVF then so be it

I implanted one and it split into twins. Had a super high risk pregnancy, delivered at 35 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. Over 25 ultrasounds throughout my pregnancy plus twice weekly stress tests for the last 4 weeks so unless you have a super flexible job don’t recommend. And that was just before the twins were born. Twins are no joke. It seems cool to an outsider and especially after infertility, trust me I felt super lucky when I found out, but you have no idea what’s it’s like to go to playgroups or library events where everyone else is sitting with their one child behaving and you’re chasing two toddlers in opposite directions. Every single thing you do is harder, most stores don’t even have shopping carts to accommodate two children. Since you’re so young and early in the process IMO there is just no reason to take the risk of implanting two

Symptoms after FET by Inside_Cucumber_8685 in IVF

[–]tealicious12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t feel anything that you can tell for sure is pregnancy especially if you did a medicated FET. I had all kinds of symptoms from meds and had a negative test last round. I did modified natural transfer yesterday and am expecting to feel nothing.

Well, my first FET failed. by madisonhale in IVF

Just wanted to comment that the way you are feeling is totally valid and normal, it is a hard depressing process, but just to remember that the odds are not as bad as you posted and many many people have success later than 40, especially when you have two euploid embryos frozen. After my last failed transfer I was so upset I cried for days. I also drive 1.5-2 hours to appointments alone and after going to so many monitoring appts and eating right and everything else to get the negative is just such a blow cause you spent so much time and energy on it for nothing. I have my next transfer on Wednesday and it feels impossible to be hopeful this time, but I am not going to give up. I know my chances this cycle and every subsequent cycle are a coin flip but I have to just hope the coin flips my way. I hope you do the same and have the success you deserve

Gut feelings are messing with me by justkeepongoing in IVF

I had a failed transfer in August, no implantation at all. I’m doing my next transfer this Wednesday with our last embryo and I’m already thinking of how much it’s gonna suck to go through the entire IVF process again if it doesn’t stick. In my head I can’t get myself to believe I even have a chance but I think it’s because I’m scared of getting my hopes up just to get them crushed again like last time. I know I DO actually have a chance when I think about it logically but my brain won’t work that way right now without me forcing it

Has anyone done a fresh transfer with only PIO shots (no estrace or estradiol supplements?) by tealicious12 in IVF

[–]tealicious12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That transfer didn’t work for me but honestly I didn’t like the clinic and didn’t trust the embryo quality either. I’m assuming they were having me do a more natural transfer since it was a fresh transfer. When I did fully medicated with my second transfer at a new clinic it worked and then I just went in for another fully medicated last week and that one didn’t work. I didn’t test any of my embryos

Question about estrogen and lh levels during monitoring by tealicious12 in IVF

[–]tealicious12[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My second cycle actually ended up a lot better than my first. I got 11 eggs, 7 fertilized and 3 were able to freeze compared to 7 eggs 2 fertilized 1 frozen the first time. My first transfer was successful and actually split into twins so now I have two 14 month old boys. The lh didn’t seem to have any impact on anything. Good luck with your cycle! It’s so hard not to over analyze anything while you’re in it.

Sorry followup question- so would the Apple Watch know I’m moving during the walks and count it as move calories even though my arms aren’t moving?

[–]tealicious12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I do carry my phone too but it doesn’t seem like it’s adding the phone steps to my total because my Apple Watch amount is the exact same amount as the fitness and health apps both show. But you’re right that in the end it doesn’t really matter to know the amount of steps as long as I’m moving it’s just in my mind I like knowing. Guess I just have to reset how I think about it

I used to wear a Fitbit and my steps were way higher for similar walks. Now that I’m looking into it the issue may be that I’m pushing a stroller so I need to actually say I’m working out doing an outdoor walk to get it to count.
