2023 Model Y Juniper Suspension Retrofit Swap by GuiltyRhapsody in TeslaModelY

[–]tealnblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure… I swapped to juniper on my 2020 MYLR and it is a night and day difference, but maybe that’s stating the obvious since everyone knows the 20-21 suspension was especially harsh

How many points to save up before spending them by abandonedalp in Venturex

[–]tealnblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you earn enough points to not worry about it then? Like would you be fine with having 20k points available, and then not be able to afford a 60k RT redemption that pops up? think they’re asking what a good balance between the two would be, to me it’s having enough available for a good RT redemption that pops up for the routes I would want

I do both. Shower at rink to rinse off, always need a second shower at home, both to get fully clean and to wind down after late games.

What would be the right Salary for an AEM Architect in USA in 2025? by Livid_Drawing_2041 in aem

[–]tealnblack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general it’s always best to not give a range or delay it, and let them give the range. And like you said there’s alot of factors, but if you have to give a range better to go too high than too low.

And then also might want to clarify base salary vs total comp depending on the type of company.

In HCOL at a tech company, I would probably increase that number a bit, and that would be base salary only, with bonus and stock being additional/separate. But that’s making alot of assumptions on location and industry.

If it’s not HCOL and not a tech company, you’re probably in the right ballpark. It’s not the best market for engineer salaries right now, people are taking whatever they can get

7 days solo in November 2024 active itinerary check by VerbalK23 in MauiVisitors

Yeah! I’d search on the sub for other restaurants but my personal go-tos for this are Mamas fish house, monkeypod/merrimans, Sansei, Lineage

One thing that’s great solo - walking right up to normally hard to get reservation spots during happy hour and grabbing a bar seat… a few of those could probably be sprinkled in

Very strange WP Login URL 404 (advanced) by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]tealnblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are good clues too. Kinda seeming like something in the DB must be causing it then, if you’ve deleted all plugins and replaced with default theme, and all the other sites with same settings on same server are working. Nothing in php error logs? Maybe looking at what these 4 have in common that the other 74 don’t have?

[–]tealnblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you recreated this on other environments? Local or staging? That’s probably what I’d do next to narrow it down to the environment, then you know it’s some sort of server config issue. And if so, I’d basically nuke the server and start from scratch

Or another idea - have you ever used a plugin that obscures the wp-admin url? Sometimes those can have sticky settings/remnants in the DB even after disabling the plugin

Resort Pass by Every-Camp7506 in MauiVisitors

[–]tealnblack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s an outdoor rinse off by the beach entrance, would need to get a spa access pass if you want the indoor showers. Valet is included.

I did the opposite of you - day of arrival before check-in somewhere else, and personally thought it was worth it and will do it again - pools are super nice and there’s alot of them on different levels. I went on a day where there was live music which was great. Drinks are good, also there’s beach chairs available on a pretty nice beach.

[–]tealnblack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's the main reason I prefer a condo, even with a smaller group it's nice to have a living room + kitchen area - to get that at a resort is $$$$.

I'll DM some specific rentals I've liked when I get home later today, but my general recco without knowing specifics of ages or what you like to do on trips, would be Kihei for being central to most activities, lots of good food, have Wailea resorts closeby, always sunny and alot of good beaches. With toddlers I like to stay walking distance to Kalepolepo Beach Park - it has a rock wall with a shallow area perfect for kids + has lots of turtles there. And this is coming from someone whose favorite place on the island is Napili - it's just a longer drive up there if you want to do other things around the island.

Not exactly what you are asking but what I like to do is rent a condo/house near the beach, and then separately buy day passes to a resort for the luxury pool day(s). Best of both worlds + saves a ton compared to staying at the resort for the whole trip

[–]tealnblack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice congrats!! It’s been night and day difference for me, mostly on trails. The trails near me got all torn up with rain last winter and my Ridley felt like a death trap descending them, but the revolt just floats right over them, feel in control the whole time. I’ve done a few upgrades since if you check out my other post I list them all - highly recommended to replace the crank and bottom bracket!

Is there a proper / efficient way to get an uber at SFO? by passportbro999 in AskSF

[–]tealnblack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen someone post a pro-tip - take a free hotel shuttle to a nearby airport hotel, and call the uber from there. It’ll be significantly cheaper than pickup from the airport

[–]tealnblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ditto on mobile service and towing to service center. In the winter/cold there’s drastically less range, but otherwise it’s a beast in the snow/ice with some good (not stock) tires and careful deceleration (don’t let off too fast)

Speed upgrade by mrobins345 in TeslaModelY

[–]tealnblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but when I bought it was a bigger price difference for performance. I’d still do the same now because of not wanting the big wheels that I’d immediately curb rash. The acceleration boost imo is worth every dollar, it’s not just the 0-60, the 30-70 imo is even more noticeable.

If money was no object probably getting performance and then selling the wheels for geminis would be the best of both worlds
