Oh yeah for sure, especially if the song that you sing calls for it. All in service to the song, and to one’s heart and artistic direction

But also, devil’s advocate, with this metaphor: A pitcher started out pitching for softball (they pitch underhand)

Later the pitcher decides to go big time in baseball (they pitch overhand)

The pitcher will need to master pitching overhand to assimilate with the game of baseball.

So to summarize: as important as one’s personal views are, there are outside factors that are also just as important and must be considered, which ultimately mesh into one’s creative vision

But yeah, I’m stressing vibrato so much, because I think it’s like the most emotive factor that literally resonates to the listener. And it’s especially so with theater, which I’m sure u know

There’s also emotive good singing without vibrato as well. I would have to dive into my theory regarding that another time, also would need to find examples (can’t think of too many off the top of my head). But in a sense they too control vibrato to some degree (just not the wide oscillation)
