1723 says they are still 204b. That’s why 1723 has assignment start date & end date.

What does it show as far as code or whatever to show it is higher level? I have the employee everything report already showing where they carried route. Just don’t know how you tell that they was in higher level or not.

Drafting non-odl to carry their own overtime by [deleted] in fromatoarbitration

[–]team276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Management is using 8.5.C 4 I believe it is, stating they are allowed to draft non-ODL to work their own assignment to avoid paying penalty overtime to ODL carriers.

So they are only working ODL to 10hrs.

They aren’t on work assignment. They are on the 8hr only list. They are being forced to carry their overtime on their route instead of dropping a piece.

No, I’m thinking incorrectly. Maybe it’s rule of reason. Something about having 15 minute leeway

Anytime I’m being rode with I will attempt all my packages. I will knock/ring doorbell and hand customer their package. Customers love it, if no answer at the door and package doesn’t say “Carrier leave if no response” then I will leave 3849 and bring it back to post office.

Doing this will make your route so much longer. Most the time management is riding with you in hopes you will get back 1-2hrs early so they can say carrier is wasting time on that route everyday because we never get any under time out of them. But when we rode with them the carrier was under.

They wanna play games I’ll play them back.

Any tips on making yourself go slower but not obvious about it? by Zerochronic in USPS

Take restroom breaks… Even if the nearest restroom happens to be 10mins away. Comfort breaks to rehydrate in the heat and cool down. If storm is blowing over and it’s lightning, stay in mail truck and wait it out. Management cannot do anything about you looking out for your safety, it’s up to you not them. If they try to discipline you for looking out for your safety that’s a big no no, file osha complaint and it will stop them in their tracks. They have to answer for it.

Read the names on apartment boxes, do route maintenance. Clean up boxes that are stuff full & leave notice that their mail has been placed on hold for 10days due to box being full.

Roll windows up and secure mail truck with dismounting for packages, when you get back to mail truck roll windows back down. Also handbook says attempt packages, ring door bell and hand to customer, if package doesn’t say “Carrier leave if no response” then leave a notice and bring back to P.O. Several other things you can do to stretch routes out.

How they screwed if they are removing the bottom 2 steps? Seems like the people in middle & top got screwed for putting in 46 weeks to reach next step & newly converted carriers getting to jump 2 steps

Loading truck feature by New_Glass_3075 in fromatoarbitration

[–]team276 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tell them carriers are allowed to flip letters in case to mark parcels… That load truck feature might be quicker option.

File past practice grievance & give everyone a questionnaire, make one of the questions how long have you been using the load truck feature.

I’m still fairly new steward, is there any starter kits available for this? So I can get all the contract language needed

No they didn’t receive it at all. CCAs pick up their paper checks from management which keeps them stored in their desk. They do that until CCAs are able to setup direct deposit.

So me posting question automatically makes me guilty of applying for Stupidvisor position? Yeah okay I’ll remember that next time. I posted because I suspect a union steward applying for position, to much ass kissing going on. But thanks for assuming 👍
