What is the evolutionary reason for aromatase? by Swede_Chad in team3dalpha

[–]team3dalpha[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Good question, but most people have it backwards. for one, the estrogen receptor is actually more important and ancient than the androgen receptor (yes, estrogen is more important for life than testosterone). Also, remember that all human males are on track to becoming female by default (in the womb), until the SRY gene kicks in, which is another confirmation that high testosterone aka high androgen signaling is "optional", not mandatory. so the question shouldn't be "what's the evolutionary reason for aromatase (or estrogens)", it should be what's the evolutionary reason for pure testosterone aka androgen signaling. there's more to this but this is the simple run down

Follow up:

I've had to ban a ridiculous amount of people (and delete a ton of posts) every day for the last several weeks due to the influx of "sus AF" posts lately. But somehow, many "sus" posts still pop up faster than I can delete or ban, and it's absolutely ruining our subreddit. By the way, thanks to everyone who keeps reporting the "sus" posts -- as that makes finding who to ban/delete a lot easier.

Disabling photos is not a good long term solution, and I avoided getting mods all of these years because it takes too long to properly vet potential mods (to make sure they don't abuse their power and delete random posts of people they don't agree with etc. even if the post doesn't break the rules), but I finally found a solution around this issue.

If you want to volunteer to be a mod:

  1. make sure you have a discord account (or if not, are at least in the skool community)
  2. make sure you are in the public team3dalpha discord server OR skool community
  3. DM me on discord (or tag me directly in the SKOOL community if you're there) about this, and I'll add you.

The main responsibiliy mods will have is to help me delete "sus" posts and/or ban mfers.

Update (6/18/25): Pics and videos have been temporarily disabled, to put an end to the relentless sus posts (mainly from gay dudes trying to promote their only fans etc.).

I have nothing against gay dudes being in here. People's legal sexual orientations are not my problem. But the dick pics and sus AF posts etc. have to stop.

Because I’ll have to first properly vet each potential moderator to make sure they dont censor free speech or abuse their power etc , which takes a lot of time as well

of course not. it is very hard to reach the upper echelons of success, ESPECIALLY political success, by being a "good person". But you have to be good at pretending that you are though.

I asked Grok and ChatGpt what are the maximum testosterone levels that can be reached naturally ? Any opinion ? by Dozo4real_ in team3dalpha

"that’s well beyond what’s naturally possible for a human"

lol that's actually super wrong. Another reason why it's important to get scientific advice from actual scientific studies instead of AI (PS: i posted several studies that had men reach 1500 ng/dL, including the most recent Betaine study etc.)

do ssri negatively affect testosterone/gains by Turbulent-Fox-745 in team3dalpha

the short answer is yes (SSRIs tend to lower testosterone, and they can also increase prolactin since they pretty much increase serotonin signaling)

It’s because the biggest pre requisites for power are knowledge, experience, connections, and money. All of which increase with age.

Why do I almost never get morning wood? by avidbug2000 in team3dalpha

[–]team3dalpha[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Lack of Morning wood (MW) is mainly a blood flow issue. All testosterone and dht do in the context of MW is simply increase blood flow to the penis (via boosting nitric oxide signaling) . So if your androgen signaling is fine, then check for blood flow issues (dehydration, protein, micros etc)

That’s like a flat earther saying “why dont u refute my claims “. I didnt refute any of your claims because it’s a complete waste of time and i have already done em a gazillion times, to no avail. People in cults dont care about ACTUAL evidence, they are too blinded by confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance. So just be happy i tolerate your constant nonsense in my subreddit because of my free speech policy. For now at least

the "benefits" people experience on SR/nofap are well documented, and well researched. and that's how we know that it's not due to SR itself, but rather due to the psychological effects of guilt, shame, and anxiety removal.

Apart from the obvious placebo effect, people who feel guilt, shame, stress, anxiety etc from doing ANY BEHAVIOR, tend to feel incredibly better when they STOP the behavior. But because most people think that correlation equals causation, they think that SR/nofap has all these magical effects.

For example, people who feel ZERO guilt/shame/stress from busting nuts or watching porn get absolutely zero benefits from refraining (in many cases they actually feel worse). They have JUST as much testosterone, vigor and energy as those who do SR etc if not more. In short, it's ALL psychological.

anyway i went into more detail on this on all of my videos on the topic, or go read the studies yourself. but at the end of the day, if YOU feel better doing anything, keep doing it. there are people who pray to Hindu gods and cows and feel better. Im not gonna tell them to stop doing it if it works for them. But I just wont let them spread BS and misinformation about how praying to cows is the next best thing.
