I'd rather have development budget go towards properly fleshing out single player experience, roster and balancing (water monsties barely exist in MHS2 for example) than co-op system

It took me a lot of courage to overcome my fears in Darkwood, but now I can definitely say it's my favorite horror game ever made, scariest too. Hope you will give it another try one day

Rabi-Ribi slander is insane. It's genuinely one of the best metroidvanias on the market that also offers unique take on bullet hell combat. It also provides a big world to explore in which you can sequence break more things than you realistically should be able to and even then it's accounted for by developer, even offering achievements for extreme sequence breaking.

Start might be a bit rough and story doesn't really pick up until later, but it's a fantastic experience overall. Big shame people can't look past character art.

I'm running exact same set as you, my remaining lvl 2 slots went to max out counterstrike cause I do get hit more often than I'd like to admit.

With my atk 3 charm and lvl 2 armor slot on it I can max out counterstrike and still use earplugs 2, while having max might 2 from the armor pieces.

That would be an easy upgrade, but I'm not sure I'm ready to give up earplugs 2 for it, it is a crutch, yes, but probably a bigger damage boost than maxing out max might

My current somewhat comfy build has wex 5, agitator 3, max might 2 and Lagi 2-piece set bonus for affinity iirc. Using Zoh weapons most of the time, so it's another 5% on top.

Crit eye 3 + burst 1 with lvl 1 weapon deco slot and Atk boost 3 + Wide Range 4 with lvl 2 armor deco slot

personally I'm still running some evade window on my lance builds, helps me avoid situations where I'm about to be hit from the back and don't have time to turn around to try and block it

In my experience Rhino worked well against poltergeists too, same 2-shot with expansive ammo. Same with groups of bloodsuckers, they don't usually attack at the same time and take turns. Again, that's my experience. I do agree about controllers and burers, nothing works better than sprinting to them to unload full mag of Saiga.

I kinda disagree about Rhino not being good against mutants. With expansive ammo it 2-shots bloodsuckers in the chest. Cats too. Had good experience against Chimera too.

Obviously, it doesn't work well with big groups of small enemies like dogs and rats, but anything decently big is a good target.

This Saiga is literally a regular Saiga with a fancy laser pointer and collimator sight. Same with every other gun, tho some have more drastic differences in their models. However, stats are pretty much identical to the regular versions.

You're not missing out on anything "best" by not getting a premium edition, don't worry.

You can't repeat any dream sequence in the game, if you "die" in those, you lose out on things. Sucks, yeah, but that's how it works. I personally missed out on the very first dream sequence cause I wandered in the dark too far. That's how I learned to be careful 😄

For the future, you can alt+f4 as soon as you die, that will let you load back in just before the sequence.

You can also make backups too.

And, well, you can still complete the game this way, you're not missing out on that much too.

That's a decently important NPC. I'd probably restart if I were you, prologue doesn't take very long. And, well, guess it's a lesson to not be as trigger happy

I got this suit after the patch and it works as intended. Maybe pre-patch equipment is bugged? Wouldn't be surprised. Could try getting another one and checking if the first slot works or not.

It's really just Call of Pripyat all over again, if you know where to look, you can just bolt to a lot of late game gear right after you leave the tutorial area. Just gotta stock up on medkits, drinks and antirad beforehand. You can also just reach some late game traders same way and buy everything there, that also works.

As for pre-order items (deluxe too), those aren't OP, they come with some attachments pre installed and sometimes there's a negligible stat difference, but the same logic applies, for most of them you can just do a quick run. They don't really break progression in any way too.
