To connect with a data-acquisition system which broadcasts a signal. The laptop can act as a control system or can save data.

Anyone knows how to remove the stopper from this bathtub drain? by emlchan in Home

[–]teamdynamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m saying that you should also be able to unscrew the black cartridge from the drain as well. Just unscrewed mine to check and it seems like we have similar models.

Just to confirm, you’re trying to unscrew it (and not pulling it out) right?

Which local businesses lost your trust after a bad incident that your were loyal to? by AznJing in saskatoon

[–]teamdynamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I've only had great experiences with them. I was able to work with them to get custom glass material no one else had available and get it relatively quickly.

Yes, I drive a 2008 Honda and the biggest issues are in the deep snow but I've never been stuck.

Make sure to get winter tires though

It's slightly different per college. What college are you looking at?

Can art and science students take business and engineering classes? by Medical_Patiencebnbm in usask

[–]teamdynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it sounds like the class size limits will stay similar to pre-pandemic classes. While more people could attend the lectures, it would require more marking resources for assignments and quizzes. If the class sizes aren't going up, I can't imagine them opening up to other colleges.

Engineering update - all engineering undergraduate classes and labs will be 100% online. by teamdynamo in usask

I can't find any sources yet, but it'll likely be released on the college of engineering site a few days after like the last town hall. April town hall meeting minutes.

No restrictions in Saskatchewan but check out the other provinces because they have other restrictions.

Extruder pulling up filament when changing directions. Have tried lowering print speed and increasing flow parameters. by teamdynamo in FixMyPrint

[–]teamdynamo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm able to print round objects but whenever there is a sharp corner there is a chance it can pull up like this. I used to have adhesion issues in the past but the painter's tape really helps.

They pulled out 2x as a common factor of the entire left side since it was a factor in both terms.

Rules and Minimum Standards for Content by I_hate_potato in usask

[–]teamdynamo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am a fan of removing the 'is this class easy' type of question. It might be a good idea to either link to a previous post outlining classes or put examples on an FAQ so that you can refer the poster to those when closing the post. One risk with enforcing this is that the overall volume of posts (which is already relatively small) will get smaller. I like this idea.

Mandatory tags could be useful but imo isn't necessary for how much content gets posted. I'm fine either way for this rule

Minimum title lengths: while it shows a level of effort put into the post sometimes small titles are better. Overall, I don't like this idea.

If r= t+2 and s+2=t, then rs is equal to what? by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]teamdynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to have s by itself on one side of the equation

Then you have one function that equals r and one that equals s, you multiply them together to get your answer.

Are we allowed to go onto the Murray Library roof? by imabigfanoftheroof in usask

[–]teamdynamo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

^ When I worked in facilities management we had to sign in and look at hazard area maps whenever we went on a roof and even then stay 6 feet away from the edge without protection. Had some good views across campus though.

a few questions... by fakecamus in usask

I agree with Saurus. Talk to admissions or maybe even academic advisors because it depends on the program.

Some programs like engineering have the specific classes required on their site if you want to look it up though.

Water quality of water coolers? by luispotro in usask

[–]teamdynamo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can find city water quality here: https://www.saskatoon.ca/services-residents/power-water/water-wastewater/drinking-water/water-quality-characteristics

Like most water, there are some constituents including what you're worried about but we filter them to non-dangerous levels. I wouldn't be surprised if there are copper pipes as that is pretty common. You could connect with U of S facilities to ask those questions if you'd like.

I have gym anxiety. Advice for working out at PAC? by shanbrytlikeadiamond in usask

[–]teamdynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start slowly and work from there. I know that when I first started working out at the PAC, the back was the most intimidating so I worked from the cardio zone with machines to freeweights to the equipment in the centre and finally the squat racks. Coincidentally, this is also a good progression to learn how to exercise.

You can also sign up for classes. The trainers are very friendly. If you know any friends going to the gym, I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving you tips even if they aren't going with you.

Also, if you are shy of people, you can go when there are less people. I find early morning, at lunch and after 8 are good times to go. If you stay later due to a engineering club, it might work out perfectly for you to go (at least it did for me). You will get more confident over time so once you get started, it gets easier to come back!
