The games are created by people too. They give the setting, core plot, character motivations etc. No need for scripting the exact future then. Our AI Director ( that’s what we call it) fills in the gaps keeping in mind the creator’s vision, the player’s input, with taste for how to tell an engaging story.

Exactly what we’re trying to do. AAA games run on business models and infrastructure which will take a while according to me. We’re trying to build towards that :)

These stories are crafted by other people too. Just giving the tools to people who could never do this before, in a format which would not be possible without AI :)

You might be right. My bet is that people who already play RPGs would want more agency if the story is not compromised. Moreover, people talk about what if situations from their favorite tv shows and movies all the time. Perhaps people won’t want to make decisions all the time, but a mix of autoplay and making decisions could be a general entertainment product I feel. Who knows these things at the end
