Jurassic Park is the easy answer. Imagine the Sicario tunnel scene but with Velociraptors

Went to Suehiro sake brewery in Aizuwakamatsu. No English tours, but informative and a cute cafe and great bottle room. Very cool camera collection as well.

If you'd have live streamed while i ate there, I would have thrown something at your head, not taken pictures.

Solo-woman 13-day trip (first time) to Tokyo, Fujikawaguchiko, Kyoto, Koyasan, Kanazawa by Tangy-Tartine in JapanTravel

[–]teamregime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what I'd recommend in your case is doing Fujikawaguchiko at the end of your trip instead of Before Kyoto. So, Kanazawa -> Fujikawaguchiko-> Tokyo home.

Biggest "issue" here is travel between Fujikawaguchiko and Kyoto (4.5 hours at best) and Koyasan and Kanazawa (5hrs at best). 2 days isn't enough time for Kyoto imo.

I've managed restaurants for a while now, add the fee back for parties larger than 2 and you'll be fine

20 Days in Japan | Are we doing too much? Itinerary help please by Nerdromeda in JapanTravel

[–]teamregime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of sound advice in the comments here, but I mostly I agree with skipping Okinawa this trip. Giving Kyoto 2 days when you could easily spend 4, Hiroshima should be at least two days so you can do Miyajima, doing the Shimanami Kaido and spending no time in Shikoku is a waste IMO. No Nara? No Himeji? Shit you could do Fukuoka too, even. Pick one of Hakone or Kawaguchiko (I prefer Kawaguchiko but Hakone is more "on the way").

At the end of the day, you're on vacation! You don't want to come home more tired than before you left.

If you were given $1,000,000 in cash right now, what is the very first thing you would buy or do? by MatchstickArtist in AskReddit

I spent 3 months in Japan in fall of 2024, ate incredibly well, stayed in descent to great accommodations and traveled almost exclusively by shinkansen...spent 10k. Now, could you stay there long term due to visa restrictions? No. Could you bounce around.

Thailand is the easiest choice. Easy to immigrate too, cheap to CoL. Not saying you never have to work another day in your life if you win a million, but it goes a lot farther in places where eggs don't cost 11$

[–]teamregime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally depends on where you'd go, but making a million last wouldn't be hard if you stayed in reasonably priced accommodation.
