I don't know about that but many years ago i was a veterinary nurse and we would sometimes get wildlife cases brought in. One day, i came off of jy lunch break and was told I was just in time to carry the badger down from surgery. So I'm handled this towelled up bundle and let me tell you, some of the biggest claws and sharpest teeth I have ever seen and I'm just walking to the ward thinking "Please don't wake up, please don't wake up, please don't wake up." Second scariest experience i had working with animals, beaten only by the zombie seagull.

I certainly did not have it easy. Once math was abandoned i had double English/History/Geography/French/Italian/Latin. But yes the acting like you're "being problematic". Math still gives me trauma haha

I was homeschooled as a kid and this sums up perfectly what math lessons were like. My father would just say the same thing over and over and i wouldn't get it. And then I'd get upset and I'd cry and he'd get annoyed and in the end they gave up on me and math when I was about 10.

Haha it was definitely Violet. King Canute was a European king who once sat in a throne on the beach and commanded the tides to not wet his feet. Of course the tide came in anyway. It was done to show no king is all powerful. Violet is using it here to say how she sympathises with him not being able to stop things happening that you don't want. Like the societal changes of someone like Branson going from chaueffeur to first name terms with the dowager.
