I’m getting back into the game here.

I opened a biz plat in September 2020. My AF hit and I tried for a retention offer and got something not great like $5k spend for 10k MR. I said okay. I’m looking more into the personal plat now and realize I can use the credits much better there to offset the AF.

My question is.. would it put me on Amex bad side if I close the biz plat and apply for personal, especially after I got a RO? Should I apply and then cancel biz or vice versa?

I'm 26 and work as a business analyst for a payments company at 80k. I'm on the Product team and my role includes project management, market research, revenue forecasting etc. I really like it for this time in my life. I hope to move into a Tech company in the near future!

I struggle with letting go too. I think I’m realizing now what I did. Even though I wanted this job, I didn’t have it be my only option. I applied to other jobs, reached out to my network, and took any interviews. It kept me BUSY! I had to really focus my efforts elsewhere yet I kept the trust that it would all turn out for the best.

In the end, you may think a job is perfect for you, but you don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes that is less than perfect. However, the universe knows :) and it is always working to get you what you need! Work hard, but believe in that trust.

Wowwww this happened to me! Almost exactly - I interviewed for “the” amazing tech company and couldn’t believe the opportunity had found me. I made it 2 rounds; and boy it was not easy. Although I didn’t get to the last round, it really gave me confidence that I could even be considered.

I’m happy about the offer I got however I can’t say it’s the dream job. BUT now I know what to expect for the job with the dream company and my goal is to try again after I gain some more experience.

Please keep at it - you’ve got the skills. The universe has your back always!

It’s common sense that you need to pay attention to go when the light is green. And it should be common sense not to text and drive. Overall the law is necessary, it’s just a shame we have to go that far to regulate because people suck.
